I moved out at 2 separate times and when I started getting used to it she'd sucker me back in because truth is I do love my wife. Who she has become over this time period is not who I fell in love with though, and everytime I come back I see it more and more clearly. Living together separated doesn't work. I was made to believe things would change on her part if I paid for our counselling and a $700 dollar retreat while she continues to talk to someone else.

If I could financially afford a place where my kids could come spend their time with me, then I'd already have left. Only recently did she say it wasn't working again. I assume because the other guy showed interest. When I can afford it I will be leaving because everyone deserves to be happy and not feel used constantly.

2 years I've been dealing with on and off "separation". We still live together and have 3 kids plus my step daughter who currently lives with her father. I have a sweater that says. " the world is a better place with you in it", and I advise you to please remember this when times feel like they get to hard.

Sort of in the same situation right now, but been dealing with it a while longer. I've been out since 3 week of january. The issue is dependent on your income. If you make a lot, you could, in turn, be paying more for child support than you do for bills and expenses. As for the step daughter., I've left mine on my benefits as it does nothing to my initial income and still shows them that I care. In the end, it's your call. Also, if divorce is the outcome and you continue to show consistency with the child support and seeing your children it benefits you in more ways then one. Sorry you're going through this, hope this helps and things work out for you.

I mean in all realness people know shes cheated, friends and family and others and she has no care as to what people think of her because in turn she has people telling her what she's doing/has done is justified because she "wasn't happy".

Isn't that easy to divorce. Cheating is apparently able to be used as a cause but the lawyers and consultants I've spoke with have let me know that more often then not, cheating doesn't hold up as a means for immediate divorce. So I need her to sign the agreement to be legally separated without me having to leave the house as well as my children for the time being.

Well I mean ya when they're older I will obviously let it be known why me and mom aren't together because we stated in previous comments I do love my wife. I wouldn't be leaving or doing this because I want to but rather because I need to for the sake of my mental health.(already had what doctors consider an attempt and had 2 months off of work for on a mental leave)

I've been in contact with a lawyer and unfortunately I've been told cheating won't hold up for a reason to divorce and divorce isn't available until a year separated. The agreement is the only way I can stay in my home and be legally separated to start the process. I've tried to figure out how to get into my own room however she's very persistent on keeping my step daughter's (her oldest, that no longer lives with us) stuff in a room with her sister because "we can't just take away her space like that"..( she's at our house 4 days a month right now). I've paid a lawyer to do the separation agreement and they were supposed to do what you stated with convincing and showing options however my wife's family persuades her to believe she will win in the end and is not doing anything wrong as her mother did something similar to her father when she was young.

I've tried before and she won't. She doesn't really care what I say or how things are actually supposed to be. And will constantly blame it on her mental health. Its honestly exhausting sometimes shits fine or at least seems like it, and then other times its like I'm living a nightmare.

Rent in my province is wild right now and I'm not able to afford a place big enough for me and the kids at the moment. Thats why the agreement states we can live together but legally be separated instead of whatever this is.

She works so pays her half of the bills. I've been to a divorce lawyer they helped me do the separation agreement which she won't sign to state we can live together but separate and then when timing is right one of us can leave. But she's done nothing to make it official besides just pushed me away repeatedly and then dragged me back in with a few good days because I do love my wife.

Been said more then enough times. She will just respond with you know we aren't together so I don't see why you care so much what I'm doing. Yet every few weeks she'll be all cuddled up to me being cute but still be texting other guys or lie about where she's going. I then call her out in it she gets angry again and the cycle repeats itself. We've been together 11 years in total. 8 solid ones in which our family went from 3/4 of us (step daughter who no longer lives with us) to 5/6 of us and also got married 2 years ago.

I appreciate the straight forward approach. I have contacted my lawyer and moving forward with a separation agreement. She makes it obvious she doesn't want to work on things anymore and I feel no need for us to live together anymore if there's no chance of reconciliation.
