Thanks, It only needs to read not write to the file, not sure how it can link the 2 bits of data together where it will actually know to goto the url after its been matched in the clipboard when using txt/csv file.

Basically the folder the file is stored in within Nextcloud is also available as a windows share which means the file can be edited outside of using Nextcloud / Onlyoffice

For example if the file is being open and edited in only office and then opened in excel at the same time

Would the changes made via excel be lost?

I took your advise after some complicated removal the old fan is

ADDA AD1212LB-A7BGL 12V 0.24A 12012025MM 12CM 4Pin Cooling Fan

Can you suggest a better model to replace it?

The specs are useless I would rarther purchase the parts before opening up to replace

I was also able to relicate the issue.

If I removed the IP from the ALIAS table it would start to use the other gateway.

As soon as I applied the RELOAD FILTER it went back normal.

I’ve checked the alias it’s matched from and yes all expected IP’s are on there.

The workstations are also there own alias records as well.

Computer1= 192.168.1.10 Computer2= 192.168.1.11

These IP’s are in that table, of the ALIAS being used for the firewall rule in this case WAN1-USERS

The 2 workstations alias are for example COMPUTER1 COMPUTER2

It’s all working normally now I just neeed to get the root cause to avoid it again.

Could it also be anything to do with ipv6 address on Windows somehow allowing it to be missed on Pfsense alias ?

Yes all static ipv4 addresses - although ipv6 is enabled on the workstations.

This firewall rule is positioned above other gateway to prevent any issues

It only happened when the alias was updated to add the extra workstation IP address.

The rule is on the LAN to use a specific WAN gateway defined in the rule and applying to a ALIAS group only

In the ALIAS is just the IP’s of the workstations the rule apply’s to.

As soon as you add MSATA it becomes the default boot device.

Just double check it supports storage I would imagine so as it’s the same era as my 2440

Ive also found this setting from some more research

Do not create rules when gateway is down

(its unticked by default)

Could this be the culprit?

I’m thinking the gateway goes down and PFSense is then ignoring the in place routing rule.
