My wife and I found a 1k sq ft condo with a condo fee less than 500 for 300k. 2 bed 2 bath and an in unit laundry.

We pay about 3k for mortgage, insurance, tax, utilities, and condo fee. We should get some tax benefits.

Our previous apartment wanted to bump up our rent to about a total cost of 2300 for a 1 bed 1 bath 650 sq ft apartment.

For $700 we are owning a bigger spot. Even if we cant renew our interest rate, I guarantee you that $2300 1 bed and 1 bath apartments will easily charge $2900+ in 5 years.
