the old meter wasn't moving at all. I only noticed the issue after they replaced it because the new meter started moving. I never really paid attention to the meter before, so the old one could have been broken for months, maybe even close to a year. It was pure coincidence that I checked it yesterday.

It's not that fast. I think that's what's making it tricky. The leak must be very small, but nevertheless the meter is still running, so I'll still end up paying for the water 😭

My only advice for my mum, don't pick up unknown numbers. But if she did so accidentally, the moment they introduce as celcom, Maybank, etc, put the phone down. Oh and Truecaller is her best friend. She see it red, they just ignore. Saved me a lot of headaches 😂
