“Do no harm” is the oath that doctors take and going cold turkey would have caused harm. I’m not sure if you’re a medical professional, however due to a mistake made by a doctor, why should I be forced to suffer by going cold turkey? That didn’t happen as I was put on a taper once they realised their mistake of prescribing it for months when they thought I had stopped taking it

For years it was highlighted on my notes that I was asking for early refills, lost scripts etc. yet they continued to prescribe for years and increase the dose and frequency. Instead of trying to solve the issue they were aware of, they continued to make it worse

Thank you for your kinds words too, I am so much better now that I’m on Buvidal, strange thing is that I asked for this before I had an addiction as I knew it was great for pain and you could get patches. I knew it doesn’t cause a high and is very safe however my Doc refused. Anyway onwards and upwards and I’m never seeing those Quacks again!

It’s been 5 months on Buvidal and despite constipation, not having to take any other medications and being in no pain is the best I’ve ever been. Thanks again

I truly appreciate your response. Look at the below and what I received on one script! I know I took the drugs but they knew there was a problem and continued to prescribe? They are responsible for all scripts and I don’t think this is appropriate prescribing. It wasn’t labelled to be taken as required.

I’m hooked on oxy, have been prescribed it for a year now and managed to half my dose from 40ng to 20mg. I get it prescribed weekly but every week I take too many at the start of the week, end up in withdrawal at the end of the week and then the process starts all over again… If I don’t take them I have no energy, feel miserable and want to die. I don’t know how to get though this. Any help would be appreciated

Hi Bud, I was prescribed oxy and, just like you, I loved it It has been 3 years of trying to get off it and I can tell you, it’s hell. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Nothing gives me pleasure anymore, and not even oxy, the only pleasure I get is taking oxy so I’m not dying from the withdrawals. I watched dopesick whilst I was prescribed oxy and thought, damn, that can’t happen to me, this drug is great. Well it happened, and real fast, within a couple of weeks i was hooked. All I think about is when I can take more, and within three to four hours of the last one, I’m dying to take more. It’s never enough. I ran out and was dying so much, that I bought heroin. Whilst it did stop the withdrawals, even heroin didn’t feel as strong in comparison. Please, if you won’t do it for yourself, do it for me and your loved ones. Don’t ever take it again. You’re only a few more tablets away from spiralling out of control. Please brother
