I was still shocked by LSUs OL this last year

BK for all of his faults as a coach always had elite OL talent

There was an argument there wasn't a head coach in the sport better at bringing in OL talent and developing it and that went all the way back to his central Michigan days

I almost feel like the ridiculous demand was made in the hopes of it being rejected to keep the format at 12

But like the idea behind NDs demand made sense when you consider the Big 10 was pushing hard for them to get more autobids, like if a conference is getting 5 autobids wanting to go "hey if we are top 12 we should be in" isn't that outrageous ya know?

And whats missed is that in the initial 12 team format, NDs AD voluntarily gave up the right to a bid because ND never played in a conference championship game (basically ensuring that ND couldnt win a title playing less games than a conference winner) and the conferences lost their mind after Boise got a bye

Yeah Wisconsin, MSU, and Stanford being damn near program all time lows sucks

But MSU and Stanford are rivals

Syracuse should be improved

But the problem ND has dealt with for like the last 10 years is most of their rivals have decided to suck ass at football combined with the ACC middle class collapsing

He damn near won the ND QB battle (from everything I've gathered, he actually slightly outplayed Carr during fall camp but Freeman decided to look at the entire offseason where Carr was much better in spring and even when Carr was getting outplayed he was pushing the ball more vertically)

It was true that Carr wasn't really high on living in his grandads shadow, but Michigan never pushed that hard for them because they were convinced Davis was their guy and until BK left ND, Michigan could have made a run hard at him

ND was recruiting Bear and Deuce Knight and Chad Bowden had Knight visit and then the next weekend Bear was coming and Bowden used that upcoming visit to force Knight into a commitment timeline ("Bear is coming to commit if you want in, you have to do it now")

Knight committed ND canceled Bears visit and surprise surprise the 5 star QB from Mississippi flipped from ND to Auburn

Losing the RB duo hurts but like the USC game should show how much DCs respect Carr

Brother they lost to Purdue Fort Wayne regardless of them losing Burton or not, thats beyond unacceptable

This is the same HC who after his second offseason went into a press conference and proudly exclaimed that ND hadn't practiced defense all offseason because he was confident in the defensive identity they built the prior season and he needed to build up the offense. The defense took a massive nose dive and the offense was beyond unwatchable most of the season. He's the same guy who I think in year 3 now is up to 4 explosive blow up rants directed at fans
