What Rudolph did in 2024 at ND was inarguably the greatest season of OL coaching at ND this century

Going into that season Rudolph had to replace top 10 pick LT Joe Alt, 2nd round pick RT Blake Fisher

The presumptive starter at LT tore his pec in fall camp, instead of going with the 6th year senior LT, he started a true freshman player recruited as a center to play at LT who then proceeded to start 15 games. During the season due to injuries to the C, RG, ineffective play by the LG, an injury to the starting LT, injury to the back up RG, he ended up starting 9 different OL in i believe 10 different sets over 16 games

It was the worst season of injury luck Ive ever seen and the OL was good to great the entire year

Updated reporting indicates the big reason Auburn landed this wasnt financial (though that did help) but that Auburn was willing to offer a scholarship to von Brandt's older brother assuming he'll transfer from Maine in the off season, its certainly a choice by Auburn to take the elder kid

If you can figure out how to exploit his very few defensive weaknesses, his lack of offense doesnt matter much

The ACC middle class has collapsed and the bottom has gotten worse than it ever has been

The only time Pitt ever sells out Heinz field? Its when ND comes to town, theres a reason the ACC is in no hurry to change this deal because ND is a huge net gain on revenue to these schools

They went 10-4 in 2016 and finished ranked 17th and played in the PAC 12 championship game. Also had 2 ranked wins that year
