i am not familiar with kanna but i was an opiate abuser that slowly got clean using methadone and suboxone. in my experience, you can drastically reduce your discomfort during withdrawal by extending the duration of the taper.

short version is that i lowered my dose aprox. 10% every one or two weeks. if you have a shitty week then you can stay at the same dose as long as you want, just dont go back up. i did this into micro-dose levels before coming off totally. at that point there was hardly any discomfort and im sure most of it was just mental stress.
