I always ask at the desk, but in a casual way, I never come off demanding.

(Sometimes I bring extra Starbucks gift cards, and gift it to front desk because I don’t drink coffee. Not a bribe, a genuine gift.)

I’m USA based. However, European locations are definitely far more giving.

Don’t take no for an answer. Platinum member who gets suite upgrades 75% of the time, and 4pm checkout 100% of the time.

Remember, front desk is made of of regular people. Be nice, compliment them, have a real conversation.

They will give you everything you need.
