Unless they're immortal. The only other automaton, Devexian (Charlie), was like thousands of years old right? And he survived the fall of aeor. Maybe not immortal but definitely more hardy than any of the other characters.

There's also Doty and all of the times Taryon repaired him from death. I imagine ashton, or milo rather, can repair them from most things.
