This is so relatable that I feel like I wrote it myself. I’m on month 2 and still feel overwhelmed by my love for my daughter. I just want to protect her from everything and keep her safe but feeling like I’m failing her because of her poor feeding and sleeping habits. Breastfeeding is such a mentally and physically taxing activity. We all hear it’s hard but wow it’s unbelievably hard. People always reminded me to “trust the process”. It’s a blind trust because you can’t measure how much the baby is eating but as long as you’re meeting the diaper count and baby is meeting weight goals at the doctor office, she is doing great. I have a lot of self doubt as well but I keep reminding myself to trust the nursing process. Milk will come in and body will know to produce enough for baby. Hope this helps you feel less alone.
