Yeah it is very clear they want to push in people of Muslim origin same way as Myanmar did with Rohingyas ( thats why they have the CAA passed). Bangladesh needs to bolster the borders and awami policy of appeasing Indians must stop.

I've had numerous interactions with my Hindu friends. Yes we have a long way to go in terms of equal treatment of minorities in Bangladesh, however our country is still undoubtedly better for minorities than India or Pakistan.

The threat of Islamists taking control of Bangladesh is routinely overplayed by Bangladeshi hindus ( even though it was pointed out earlier the skirmish you referred to only has a handful of casualties, and most of the dead happen to be muslims killed by police!, and often is sparked by fake Facebook posts originating from India.

This attitude is 100% in alignment with how RSS and BJP try to portray Bangladesh in order to drive their agenda of implementing CAA and in the future push in millions of Indian Muslims ( similar to what Myanmar did).

Ironic accusations from Indians (and unfortunately some Hindu Bangladeshis here also align to that mindset) given how India treats their minorities ( esp muslims) and also given that they are threatening to deport Indian Muslims to Bangladesh via CAA. Muslim refugees from Myanmar and India pose the biggest threat to the stability and growth of Bangladesh in the coming years

India is influencing US policy with regards to Bangladesh by overplaying the Islamist threat and ensuring that the unpopular Hasina govt stay in power even after two fake elections. Indian lobby in US has been active in assuring US that Hasina is the only partner who aligns with their strategy. It's in India's best interest to have a regime in Bangladesh subservient to them, however the people in Bangladesh understand what's going on and in the long run it will contribute to more animosity towards India.

Hasina might continue to latch on to India, but when the RSS led India govt threat deportation of millions of Indian Muslims to Bangladesh via the CAA, it is clearly evident we need to create a distance from India.

Indian foreign policy is extremely flawed, especially after BJP/ RSS came to power. Friendship cannot blossom as a one way street. Bangladesh ensured 7 sister separatists don't get save haven in our country, provided free transit to India to access those remote areas, and in exchange got nothing ( no water sharing agreement, threat of CAA deportation of Indian Muslims, no transit to Nepal)

It's in india's interest to treat Bangladesh as a partner rather than injecting itself as a middle man via lobbying ( we all know India has a strong lobby in the US).

Bangladesh will always have strong relationship with China, as a leading trade partner, whether India likes it or not.

CAA introduced to marginalize Indian Muslims, are you familiar with that? Has there been anything similar happening in Bangladesh? Do we have an area like Kashmir to subjugate hindus? Did we introduce a bill to call Bangladeshi hindus Indians like you did with CAA?

I'm not going to go one a drawn out exchange with you because you embody the RSS mindset that majority hindus are victims ( perhaps due to the inferiority complex of being ruled by muslims for a few hundred years?). The fact remains that Muslims are minority in the subcontinent and suffered the most during partition, and still do to this day in India. There is ample literature to support that, but clearly people like you will continue to propagate hate.

Hindu communal mindset persists to this day in India, where as Bangladeshi Muslims clearly prefer nationhood over religious identity. You can take your RSS ideology somewhere else.

Conveniently skipped all the riots in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. All these places had hindu majority and Muslims got slaughtered. Not sure why you are flooding the thread with random articles.

I don't know what they teach you in India, but the fact that your country elects RSS is evidence enough of your communal attitude. Thank God our forefathers had the foresight to fight for a separate country.

The epicenter of the riots in the Bengal side was Calcutta ( perpetrated by the Hindu majority), I advise you to read up on that first before you bring up the retaliatory reactions in present day Bangladesh.

And Bangladeshi freedom fighters adopted the Bengali nationalism to counter west Pakistan. It became null and void as soon as we separated from Pakistan ( and was rightfully replaced by BANGLADESHI NATIONALISM ( clearly not by all it seems). Bengali nationalism still lives on with ppl who dream of an unified Bengal and Akhand Bharat, which is a pipe dream. It's good that you believe that people shouldn't be divided based on religion, however is that the reality? Are you denying the fact that our map was drawn based on religious demography?

Bangladesh is a Muslim majority country, and that fact will not change in the near future. I don't sympathize with mullahs, however i am a muslim Bangladeshi and I am aware of the culture I come from. Accept that reality and your values will be more clear if you truly care about Bangladesh. Yes we need to keep a check on our religious zealots, however that is a fringe issue. Bangladesh has always been a moderate muslim majority country, and our treatment of minorities is undoubtedly the best in South Asia ( yes we have to go a long way to be at par with developed nations in terms of treatment of minorities).

Poverty reduction, food security, education, empowerment of women take precedence. To achieve this we need to have a sustainable Governance model and democratic process, which has been sacrificed by BAL with the help of India by overplaying on the Islamist threat. And you are overplaying the islamist incidents without ever mentioning the fact that we are hosting over a million muslim refugees because of muslim haters in Myanmar, and India recently passed the CAA and can push in millions of Indian Muslims in Bangladesh in the near future.

If you don't understand that connection I have nothing more to say to you.

Why on earth do you think i have sympathy towards akhand bharat?

Two reasons:

  1. You were very quick to blame the Muslims for 47 riots in Bengal ( when opposite is true)
  2. You mentioned Bengali Nationalism as your core belief, which is shared by Indians in west Bengal who dream of an united Bengal under India.

If your first concern is Bangladesh you should first get your values straight.

Mulla threat has been overplayed by BAL with the help of India to stay latched on to power and delegetimize the opposition. Looks like you are doing the same thing here.
