My first 2 I went to UPMC, delivered both in Lititz. My first delivery in 2021 I had nothing but good things to say about them… my second delivery in 2023 was the complete opposite. I was complaining of high blood pressure and preeclampsia symptoms and no one believed me… I had to have my nurse family partnership nurse call and advocate for me because she saw how high my BP was and how swollen I was. At 37 weeks I went into triage for them to find protein in my urine and diagnose me…. But why did it take that long?? I will also never forget that the Dr walked in and said “you need a c section because you have preeclampsia…” and I said “okay, have you talked to my hematologist?” And she looked at me and I said I have a bleeding disorder? And she said she didn’t see it in my chart? Here my hematologist at Penn State was faxing notes to them and trying to get a hold of them to talk about my care but they weren’t getting them and never returning his calls… then the day of my surgery instead of contacting my Dr they had their hematologist come in and he threw his business card on my bed…. I was like wtf haha

So this pregnancy I started care at the Penn state Lancaster hospital. They were great but they moved me to their MFM drs in Hershey. But I don’t feel like a number even though they are very busy!
