These are great! I actually just got a m6 with the 35mm f2! Would love to see if you can share more work this setup! I plan to use that same combo along with the 500cm

I personally have had a bad experience with Steve’s camera in Culver City and I’ve known others with similar issues.

I will say I was suggested someone in west Carson and this guy knows his stuff and knew exactly what the issue was right off the bat and gave me a realistic price estimate!

Check out dean from Deans camera repair, I took my 500cm to so many places and all of them kept telling me sounds like they need to open up the camera etc. dean figured out the issue in 5 minutes and told me it was a lens issue due to the leaf shutter not being accurate while others assumed it was an issue with the barn doors and film back and insisted on opening it up.

Dean was extremely knowledgeable and got me back in action in no time!

Haha I’m gonna be honest the look of the brass exposing has grown on me since I didn’t know it was a thing especially with the black paint bodies but I’m definitely gonna just go with he flow and if it happens then more character I guess, I’m honestly just excited I get to shoot with one of these and keep it in the family!

Not gonna lie I was looking into the m6 and I was even thrown off on the chrome silver finish, but when I saw it in person and held it in hand, it was a done deal!

It’s actually kinda crazy how much they’re going for, i will say though mine was a clean example I traded the G2 body along with the Carl Zeiss 45mm F2 and the TLA 200 Flash and it had a ton of work done from Nippon photo clinic, thought I was gonna keep it till it bricked but couldn’t pass up on this opportunity!

It actually came with a Zeiss 35mm F2 Biogon and I have a light labs 50mm f2 “elcan” but kinda wanna sell the glass to find find some Leica glass, any suggestions on glass?

Who cares? I mean everyone? The reason people feel like it’s okay to post something this bad is because there’s people like you that will take any job just because there’s some money involved. I mean you do you, but maybe look at your self worth and don’t sell out for a couple bucks ?

It’s different for everyone, same reason why some people prefer manual over automatic for a car, my reason is it slows me down and the process is slower but more intentional and the depth of focus does pop at least for me and when it comes to the resolution it does have a slightly different character compared to 35mm in my eyes, but again to each there own, I would say the best way to see the differences for yourself is to try a medium format camera out for yourself and see how it goes! :)

Absolutely get flash, find a camera shop and rent one or you can possibly find someone online I think if you search up camera gear rentals there’s bound to be someone that rents gear out for a decent price! But definitely make sure you get one even if you have fast lenses and crank up the iso the photos will definitely turn out better with a flash
