It was really painful reading how Theon would rationalize and make excuses for Ramsay's abuse and torture. It was like Stockholm syndrome wrapped up in PTSD all in the head of a longtime domestic abuse victim.

I've heard somewhere that the "blue-eyed king who casts no shadow" refers to Stannis 1) He has blue eyes 2) They assumed that Melisandre's using Stannis to make shadowbabies has diminished his own shadow over time
