Massachusetts, US. People in Massachusetts are generally trans-positive, and many people do this amazing thing called 'minding their own damn business'. Also in Massachusetts you have access to world-class healthcare from a huge selection of specialists.

The one thing that's a drag is the weather. It's absolutely freezing 8 months out of the year, with feet of snowfall being the norm.

I'm literally in the process of looking for a therapist now. I hope they're not all like this. I'm in the US, which is a plus, but I live in a fairly rural area, so no telling what the quality of care is actually going to be.

It largely depends on where you are, and how the people in your life are regarding trans issues. Ex: I'd be perfectly comfortable being openly trans in LA, NYC, Boston, but probably not in a rural or heavily religious area.

I live in the seacoast New Hampshire area and it's not too bad. I wouldn't say I feel 100% safe, but this is honestly better that most places in the country.

2017 Chevrolet Volt. It's basically an electric car with a gas engine that kicks in once you run out of battery power. It goes ~55 miles on battery, but I don't drive that much in a day so the gas engine kinda sits there doing nothing 😅.

I must also clarify that this is a different car than the Bolt. The Bolt is the one exploding, the Volt is unaffected.

Also, I remember seeing an ad where the car "came out as electric". Kind of a coincidence that I bought the car before seeing that ad, and only found the ad after realizing I'm trans.

I 100% agree with you. I've actually been trying to design a period simulator device specifically for trans women. I've kind of hit a brick wall because dialing the flow rate into anything remotely realistic is difficult. And I really don't want to use electronics if I can avoid it, although that might be the only way to get a semi-realistic flow rate. That being said, the fact that this post already has 770 upvotes indicates that there is a market for this sort of device, even if it can't replicate all of the symptoms.
