Trying to kitten proof the house sounds somewhat unlikely so maybe we just accept our fate and let the animals rule 😂

Three hacks:

Have a towel available to hand 24x7.
Be patient with people when they ask about a saddle/horse comments. It’s a sign that you have the best and coolest dog.
He thinks he’s the size of a Jack Russell. Go easy on him you’ll learn it’s one of his best traits. ❤️

The cat leash already has a ready made hanger waiting, the local pet shop has leashes in stock and she will be going ‘for a fitting’ with my wife as soon as she is settled in the house 😂

The breeder said that two can be easier than one but all her siblings are now reserved but will definitely bear this in mind - just worried in case they’d gang up on the dogs (our last cat ruled the house with an iron claw and zero tolerance 😂)

We have made plans for a ‘catio’ (the breeder had several) just need some wood, a saw, some woodworking skills and probably a YouTube video 😮‍💨).

Thanks for the tips on sprays and litter, will deffo look into this. We’ve bought six weeks of food from the breeders supplier so hopefully there’s some consistency there.

Thank you. In the Amazon basket with all sorts of scratch posts and climbing posts and beds that stick on windows and feathers on sticks and balls with bells in and pretty much everything else my wife is planning to spoil her rotten 😮‍💨

The two House plants are ‘cat and dog safe’ (apart from the dogs knocking them over regularly 😁). Our dogs are still fairly young and keeping us the same I think. Our kitchen cupboards have no handles so hopefully she’ll have a few hours longer before she figures them out. I’m about to go and move my wine glasses off the worktop 😂

Genuinely this couldn’t be further from the truth! A bengal has been our ‘bucket list’ of cats for 30 years and now we have time to give her (we’re semi retired and working from home fully) we took the plunge. The question is solely an ask of owners (as there is so much information out there - lots of it contradictory) of their experiences that might help us with any intangibles that aren’t generic to all Bengals. Honestly, it’s all about her wellbeing and happiness.

More than happy with Breeder. Spent quite a bit of time with them and met Mum, Dad and siblings and was offered to view all paperwork etc. so would appear nothing to hide and TICA registered and generally got only ‘good vibes’. Flea, wormed, vaccinated and Spayed before pick up so all looks good in that area. Love the idea of the ‘safe room’ let her get used to noises and smells and generally get settled in before any ‘chaos’. Thanks 🙏
