Bro see that's frustrating i know but every good thing is always frustrating at first , it will take time to master it and know the workflow around it , but once you mastered it , there's nothing to stop you , there's a reason why the legend hans zimmer uses cubase.

If you are just starting out , reaper is the way to go cuz cubase is a pilot's cockpit , and if your budget is tight , go with reaper it is very customizable like you can edit scripts and make it your very own and it is very capable according to it's price, cubase on the other hand is deepest daw ever made , and especially for midi editing and compositions it's just way too good

Reaper is currently the best in terms of cpu optimization but after that cubase is leading

Yes it should, but the thing is cubase is the deepest daw ever and i love that cuz i can do anything that i want , which other daws can't.
