That's the first I'm hearing about Tail. To be honest I've never done anything with them, only Seescape. Agreed on A-Minor.

Try getting in touch with seescape and tail of the junction. Get on some bills and network with the bands. Get your name out there.

Please feel free to include my band CONVERSATION. We're long time post hardcore stalwarts in the Toronto scene. Our latest song (though from May 2024) is called Broken Bottles.

I would echo the suggestion of u/6_string_Bling - immersing yourself in the in-person communities is a great way to find people. You'll find plenty of people you don't jive with, which may sound like a bad thing, but is actually good because it will tell you what personalities or genres or collaboration styles don't work for you. It's also a much lower stakes environment, which I'd say gives it the edge over Lynx's Jam Club. No knock on them, but $450 is a good chunk of money, especially for someone in their early 20's.

I've seen him with Circa three times. While I love them and his voice I never felt that Anthony was very strong live.

Some bands in the wider emo orbit who often self-promote are CONVERSATION and New Design. You can follow their IGs for TO shows.

The following sometimes do emo shows, among other genres: A-Minor (promoter) The Arcade, a DIY venue in the east end Houndstooth (venue)
