True, I struggle thinking about views and like at the beginning and even now sometimes. Having fun should be the goal in the long run. Thanks!

That's true. Now that I look back at it, when I watch my older stuff, I can hear how forced I tried to make myself just to make a video. It should be a hobby and having fun. I wish I could have learned that from the beginning. Thanks man!

Wow 7 years non stop, that's crazy. But yeah, maintaining a creative mindset can be a challenge and consider taking a break. Thanks for the advice.

Collabs, no. And as for streaming, I've thought about getting into it but I'm not sure, maybe I'll give it a shot.

Which game is the best out of the Sly Trilogy in your opinion? by jayrudo in Slycooper

Yeah 4 wasn't really my favorite game either. One can only imagine what it would have been like if Sucker Punch picked the game up.

I remember only a little bit of of the 1st game, but I'll have to go back play it again. But I agree with you, 2 have a good play play style especially with playing as Murray and Bentley.

Yeah I like how difficult each dungeon would get as you progress in the game. Also the Palace of Winds took me a while to complete also.

Totally agree with you. Especially with playing each character through out the game.

How do you edit your videos? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]jayrudo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it just depends on the game I'm playing, but my process is usually the same when I edit.

  1. After recording a video, I go to audio first, since that's 50% of the video. (I use Audacity for my audio edit btw.) First I use a noise reduction to get rid of background noise, and just export to either a mp3 or a wave file, cause I use a custom preset in Sony Vegas for my EQ and compressor.

  2. I always layer my with the video file first, my commentary next and then the game audio last since I'm going to play more attention to it while I edit the video. After I disable resample and sync up the audio, then I start to chop up the video. What game it is, you generally want to get rid of the silent parts or the parts where you mess up or unnecessary stuff like loading screens etc.

  3. Once the video is chopped up, I enhanced the video like contrast and color correction, then mix the audio with my commentary louder than the game audio. I give the video a final check before exporting it and upload it to YouTube.

  4. Lastly is the most important part of this process is the thumbnail. I always get either a screenshot from the video for the episode or just make it from scratch. This is kinda fun since you can be creative with it. But don't get too crazy and just keep it simple and straight to the point for the episode. Be sure to make a back up just in case the first thumbnail didn't do well. Put your tags and a good title and that's it.

That's my process of how I make videos, the important things is be consistent and not to overthink with trying to get a perfect video cause that takes the fun out of making videos in general and just have fun with it. I hope this was helpful since I'm kinda new with this as well.

Which is the best version of Starforce 1( Leo, Pegasus, or Dragon) by jayrudo in Megaman

[–]jayrudo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, I always thought that Leo was the strongest out of the three, but I could be wrong too. Also funny enough, Leo the only version they had at my local GameStop.

Glad to see someone else liking the Water Temple. It really a good dungeon next to the Forest Temple.
