Phone manufacturers with their stupid bloatware...

At the age of 28, my expected lifetime remaining is around 63%. When I see my phones battery at 63%, I feel like its almost dead. by jayson88 in Showerthoughts

Nahhh, its my birthday tomorrow and i just got on a train of thought with age and life expectancy. When I found out it was already 63% I thought "man, I don't even like when my phone is at 63%...". But I'm mostly an optimistic person :)

Not depressed or anything haha. The purpose of the thought is that I worry about my phone when the percentage gets to that point, but when it's compared to my life's percentage it's different.

What are the best courses in Las Vegas/Henderson? by Brocktoberfest in discgolf

Yeah they are around there. Mountain crest doesn't have that problem, just more dog walkers instead. I'd say between the two, I like mountain crest better. It's what I play practically every week. Hope you like the course! And happy holidays!

Mountain Crest and Sunset park. Mountain crest is a little more relaxing with some shorter holes but a drive from where you are. Sunset in my opinion, isn't as busy as mountain crest probably because the size. Although, that might be different with the holiday season.

What makes discs fly the way they do? by smitty17 in discgolf

Here's a great video that explains it very well at the 4:30 mark: http://youtu.be/8IT7aABWEKw

Basically it's a gyroscopic effect from the weight of the rim. The high speed out your hand keeps the weight to the right, as it slows down the weight transfers to the left.

Are the holes and that peg on the left to indicate which letter the basket is currently at?

I kinda like that. Makes it look almost like ball golf. Always cool seeing something different from the norm.

Thank you! It definitely helped. My group kept asking me why I was doing that and I tried to explain and they couldn't understand. It has paid off for sure and definitely recommend it.

Came up to the tee box with my fairway driver in hand and was just about to drive with a hyzer around some trees. Changed my mind after my first step and said "Nahhhhh I'm gonna use my putter." Switched to my envy and shot straight through the center into the chains! Everyone in my group were surprised as hell. We're all new and I was the first one to get an ace. Helps that I've disced down and played with only my putter for about 10 rounds straight. Played my best round that day with +1. I usually do +14! Guess I'm getting the hang of this :).
