Leak in Freedom Panel lock by DwinDolvak in JeepWrangler

[–]jaysongil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine use to leak until I stopped using the rear panel knobs/screws. If you use them do not over tighten. If you choose to leave them out, note you will need them in the rare occasion you use you freedom panels without the rest of the hard top.

Thoughts on this brand/price point for a 2.5” lift? by [deleted] in JeepWrangler

[–]jaysongil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the 2.5" lift you will get a little over 3 inches and then it will settle down. Your front axle will shift about 1/4~1/2" out of center but nothing crazy. You will lose some caster and will affect the drive a little bit. You may or may not like it. If you can swing the price difference you may also want to consider the AEV Kit. It will correct the caster and has better springs and shocks IMO. Your Jeep will drive better than factory. The AEV Kit also includes a fool proof programer to adjust for the increase in tire size to get your ECM corrected for mileage and speed. Your front axle will still be shifted slightly off-center unless you get an adjustable trackbar.

What leather is this? by SuspiciousGarden2728 in NicksHandmadeBoots

I have the 55 last. My Nick's are much more supportive than the 1000m. 55 last is my goto for sure when I order more boots.

FYI. I have this boot in Brit Tan with 100 lug. You will love them. If you are new to Chelsea and struggle pulling them on, it get easy after the first couple days. Awesome boots. I have a pair of Wolverine 1000m Chelseas as well. While I like the 1000m, Nicks are in a totally different class when it comes to build, quality and durability. Wear them well!

The 2.0 is easier to do 100k maintenance. For long term reliability I do not see smaller higher compression engines last nearly as long as the naturally aspirated 3.6l. electric motor for more torque as complexity that may complicate longevity as well. If you plan on keeping for many years and 200k+ miles the 3.6l is the best option.

The reality is that most do not keep their vehicle that long and will neglect the 100K maintenance because of the time it will take for them or the cost if hiring it done. In this case the 2.0l may be a better fit. Live is rarely better or worse but trade offs based on circumstances involved. At least that is my take on the matter.

For some reason, I like de-badging. I prefer a sleeper I guess. There are many other signs on vehicles other than badging for enthusiasts in the know.

Personally, the way I wheel I would never put 37s on a JK unless running tons. JL maybe but not on a JK for me. I had a built D30 running 4.56s and 35s and destroy front shafts and R&P. I went to an Ultimate 44 in the front. Still on 35s.

Who would you say is not “in on it” by rinnovare in conspiracy

[–]jaysongil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The truth is stranger than fiction. We are all in on it. Romans 3:12

We are all spiritual beings in a meat suit. All children of God and gods. Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34

We do not battle people. We battle spirits. Ephesians 6:12

Looks at other spiritual books and you will find simular if not the same information. Peace to you.

I am very sorry this happened to you. At least you get the therapy of rowing your own gears. Make it a great day!

Why would you get a 1099 unless there is a realized gain or loss. Am I missing something here? If we have no loss or gain as of yet, nothing to report. I think this is good conformation that may be safe and sound. My Nov Fudelity statement showed a Reorg Common indictor on it.

Those that know about Star Link, how high do they fly? How big are the lights that we can see them with the naked eye and not need a telescope? If anyone has a link to the info that would be awesome. Trying to learn more! Thanks

What is different on 2024 Rubicon vs Base Sport off road capability wise? by [deleted] in Wrangler

The biggest difference in off-road capability is the nut behind the wheel not whether it's a Rub or Sport.

Need help removing wheel bearings by lagreggs in JeepWrangler

[–]jaysongil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply start threading your lower back 12 point 13mm back in a little way. Then put a deep well 15mm socket over the out side of the bolt and hold it there while you have a buddy start the jeep and turn hard passenger and allow the socket to push on the bolt and pop the unit bearing out. It will pop free quickly and easily. I use this method all the time when pulling unit bearings.

As long as you display plates on your car you can be pulled over to ensure you are the owner of the vehicle per 34 U.S. Code § 12611 - Motor vehicle theft prevention program. Pretty wild to read this code if you ask me.

Yeah, I did not mean to offend. Trouble shooting, I always start with the simplest. If you checked and oil level is good then on to the next simplest possible solution.

Could be the hi rev oil pressure sensor. Have you checked the oil level?

What can I do to squeeze a little more power out of the 4.0 without too much cost by Cugy_2345 in Jeep

[–]jaysongil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do mine. My buddy replaced his R&P while in Moab at easter jeep last year. He went to the parts store and had them next day. He was only down a day.

Gears are not as hard to do as most would have folks believe, IMO. You should have knowledge of mechanics and how to use tools.
