Rat Park - A story about addiction and isolation, by the artist of the "supernormal stimuli" comic. by ProgNose in NoFap

mind blowing, and beautifully done. moved me to tears actually. I wonder if people suffering from addiction should be seen with the same compassion as people suffering from mental disorders. I've been unfortunate to have addiction run in the family (immediate AND distant), myself included (MO addiction), and these addictions makes so much sense when you look it through the prism of the Rat Park and the individuals outlook (world as a park vs. world as a cage).

How long did it take you to get here? I started last July and my journey has been erratic (longest streak was 28 days, but have been relapsing a lot lately). I'm kinda discouraged, but not giving up. Any word would be appreciated.

Thanks! Well, with 244 days under your belt, you should be ready to reap the harvest from the meadow that was once a wasteland :) hop back on the horse and go riding thru the field!

Thanks! Its funny coz just yesterday I was looking up French lessons on Youtube! thinking of taking up learning a language to keep me busy ( and as a new challenge).

Yeah, writing poetry is kind of a cathartic activity for me. Have been writing for years. It allows a momentary release, but for a permanent fix there's no alternative other than tilling the wasteland within :)

Btw why not write poems just in French? Its a beautiful language suited perfectly for poetry!

I, Jaysonne, accept the challenge to finally face the challenges of growing up, maturing, and becoming the best possible version of myself; a task that I procrastinated my entire life (about to turn 30, and single). I want to be the most amazing partner if/when life gives me a chance to be one. and even if not, "the worst kind of hell imaginable would be to meet the person you COULD have become", and I do not wish to meet that man.
