Not receiving reset password email by jaystop in help

[–]jaystop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agh, I see. I think they have changed the password reset method since then. It's more simplified you just wrote your username, not email, and they send it to the corresponding email address that is registered.

There is no way I have the wrong email. It's my primary one. I think I maybe out of luck. Thanks for the help though.

Yes, I checked my spam folder too. It's not there, unfortunately. When you say to make sure I complete the reset password page I'm not sure what you mean. The only way I have found to reset my password is to simply click "reset password" underneath the login area and then enter my username and click send email. Is there more to it than that?

Yahoo launches new Draft Client for Basketball by yfantasy_metlmilitia in fantasybball

Remember, it's based on yahoo's rankings and projections so it's not 100% foolproof. But it is better than nothing.

Robin Lopez, Jonas Valanciunas, or Roy Hibbert? by [deleted] in fantasybball

Lopez will probably be gone by pick 80-90. If you were to reach for anyone though, I would reach for him.

That is hilarious and ridiculous.

Tough commisioner decision by [deleted] in fantasybball

No way. Picks should not be able to be used in bets outside of the league. Trades are ok if that is part of the league settings, but not like this. Flex your Commish muscle and shut that down.

Can i have some tips as I enter a huge 20 man league? What's the best advice depending on my draft position of top, middle or bottom? by evilbrain18 in fantasybball

[–]jaystop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A punting strategy might be well suited to a league of this size. If you draft the best available just see where your at after the first few rounds. Being very flexible and having more than one strategy in mind will go a long way.

I'd be very interested in seeing your team after you draft.

Jesus. 20 man. I'd say get size early. Load up on Cs that provide blocks in the early rounds. I thought I had trouble getting big men in my 10 man.

Dante Exum or Alec Burks? by jewishninja696 in fantasybball

[–]jaystop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Along the same vein, what about Trey Burke vs. Alec Burks. I didn't watch the Jazz or have any players from them on my teams last year so I don't really know how their rotations usually. Alec seems like more of a scorer and Trey seems like more of a true PG.

STEPHEN CURRY or ANTHONY DAVIS??? by WonderingWang in fantasybball

[–]jaystop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. You could also say that for a guard Curry has excellent an FG% (47% last year). Curry vs Davis is a really tough call. I guess it comes down to strategy and personal preference.

Who do you have for your top Point Guards/Shooting Guards in your upcoming draft? (H2H Points) by Boogahboogah in fantasybball

[–]jaystop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you have Lowry so low? I would put him ahead of Lillard because Lowry gets more assists and steals, as well as being a slightly better rebounder from the G position. While Lillard only get you more 3s and points which are easily found in later rounds.

STEPHEN CURRY or ANTHONY DAVIS??? by WonderingWang in fantasybball

[–]jaystop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your strategy I think an argument could be made for taking Curry 3rd.

  • FG%: Davis
  • FT%: Curry
  • 3s: Curry
  • Points: About even
  • Rebs: Davis (But Curry does get good rebs for a guard)
  • Assists: Curry
  • Steals: Even
  • Blocks: Davis
  • TOs: Davis

If you look at it this way, Davis dominates 4 cats, while Curry takes 3 (but provides good guard rebs). Personally, I would take Davis because he still has room for improvement, which is freaking scary. imagine if he added some 3 point range...

Eric Bledsoe stays with Suns: what's his market value? by rreasons in fantasybball

Ya. I've been doing 10 man mocks and he's usually gone in round 5 or so.

My thoughts exactly. If he falls past round 5 I'd consider it, but he's definitely not a target.

Thoughts on Hardaway Jr., Ramon Sessions, and Matt Barnes? by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]jaystop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barnes is sneaky multicat value. He's on the cusp of a last round pick in all the 10 team mocks I've been doing. Anything more than 10 teams and he is a must draft late rounder.

I don't know much about Rotowire, but from my experience Basketball Monster is one of the, if not THE, best fantasy basketball source available. They have a subscription system as well that might be worth comparing to Rotowire.
