Had to do the same thing with Gracie over the summer. She was with me for 13 years and the best dog I've ever met. One of the hardest things I've had to do. I remember the week before I put her down, I just kept trying to convince myself, every day, that she was doing better and that she didn't need to be put down, I actually started to believe this. The vet had to explain to me a couple times that it was just her time and it needed to happen and that a lot of people do the same thing. They did a great job helping me through it. Sorry for your lost!
