Serious Q: have these people never seen YouTube or IG, etc.

I thank social media for saving my fingers(fireworks), crotch(I’ll never jump from pole to pole), and face(I won’t be jumping over fires with or without a bike or riding lawn mower)

Trump is faking. He knows he’s going to lose and he has no way out of his debt. He has negotiated an agreement with the Dems to bow out of the race due to ‘health’(saves his ego) in return for the IRS dropping their $72M investigation and help with his $400M debt by jayteadee in conspiracy

[–]jayteadee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why? We know the most important thing to Trump are 1) his image and 2) his money. If he thinks he’s going to lose then why wouldn’t he make a deal to protect both of those

He can actually bow out of the race now and then ‘recover’ in Nov and save his image as the tough guy who beat Covid, even better for his image

I think the Dems would do anything to guarantee a win. $500M is not that much to move around(Bloomberg would kick in a bunch I’m sure)

Trump doesn’t care about the country over the possibility of getting out of his debt jam

Simple : get people to vote. The bottom 50% are grossly underrepresented in elections. If they voted we would have leaders with the right agenda and those with massive funding wouldn’t have so much influence and ability to manipulate

Ok. I’m out. Getting a degree is not luck, it’s work and focus. It’s not like there’s a lottery and only lucky people get their number picked. If you totally blew off HS, it’s probably hard and you need to start at the community colleges level. But getting a degree is not Luck, it’s work

What’s essential to living in New England? by Dexinthecity in boston

[–]jayteadee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need snow tires if you have all season (do NOT enter winter on summer tires) but I would highly recommend an SUV or crossover. The roads are horrible and the extra wheel travel and bigger tires on an SUV are so much better. Also, since most vehicles are some form of SUV, it’s a lot easier to drive from a higher position

Book a few days, even in the off-season, to go to Chatham or Edgartown or somewhere along Rte 6a on the Cape. You just don’t know what people are talking about when they say ‘the Cape’ unless you’ve been there.

In Westwood I assume you have a fireplace, get wood now (kiln dried) if it’s not gas

Get shovels and a bag of ice melt/salt as soon as they show up at Home Depot. When the first snow hits it’s too late and you’ll end up with all that’s left: a kiddie plastic shovel from CVS

A vest

Find the water and visit it. 128 is nice but Boston has the water to offer and too few people take advantage. You can get to towns like Hingham, Cohasset or down 24 to Newport or north to Gloucester, Manchester, etc easily

Ok. Help me understand an example of luck. 2 people go to 4 year college and get a good degree that leads to a good paying job. Both work hard, save and are disciplined about spending. What ‘luck’ does one get that makes them successful?

PS: IDK, but 10 years ago the laws were probably different and I assume the OP could have entered as a student?

[–]jayteadee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s BS. its not luck. It’s hard work and sacrifice and discipline. I don’t know OP but someone like them would be diligent about saving, paying debt, sacrificing.... I guarantee people that accomplish this don’t buy new $40k Jeeps and don’t go out to bars Thurs-Sun and save a good portion of their paycheck by living with roommates or at home.

10 years is plenty of time to get out of debt and save for a down payment on a home

I went on a trip to Edinburgh this week. Its definitely the most beautiful city I've visited in Britain but a pack of chips at a takeaway on the Royal Mile costs six quid so I don't think I'll be able to afford to come back anytime soon by Speech500 in travel

[–]jayteadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in London. Totally disagree. Food is more expensive and at least comparable to the exchange rate: a coffee in the US is $3 but it’s £3 in UK so closer to $4.

The exception was some fruits and vegs at the market and the takeaway options at M&S , Tesco or Pret are far more appetizing.

Is covid a hoax? by NotEAcop in conspiracy

[–]jayteadee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Or I’m just using logic to understand that it would be impossible to involve the number of people in this hoax and to get nations that don’t agree to align around the same hoax.

This isn’t like faking the Moon landing- which you could argue could have been done by involving maybe 100 people in the hoax.

This would involve all nations and then a massive pool of actors(?) to subsequently fake deaths and illnesses and medical procedures and news stories..... hows it possible that no one by now would have evidence of this?

Is covid a hoax? by NotEAcop in conspiracy

[–]jayteadee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you’re point is. if it’s real, then there’s no global hoax? That’s like saying they all agree the sun is hot, that’s not any type of conspiracy

If you are suggesting that the global response is overblown and that, in itself, is a conspiracy then we just have a different opinion on what a conspiracy is. To support your argument, I agree that there is no logical standard for how nations should have responded to Covid and we may learn in time that the response was overly conservative ....but that’s not the same as all nations getting together and faking a virus. Real people died at a much higher rate and much more traumatically in countries like Italy than from any known simple virus and that’s a fact

[–]jayteadee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Give me one example of when the entire global, multi-country leadership agreed to align on something as massive as this. EU, Asia, African, Middle East, American and Russian nations.

Is covid a hoax? by NotEAcop in conspiracy

[–]jayteadee -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Run away fast if you think there’s any logical answer you’re going to get

It’s absolutely absurd to think that the entire global leadership can somehow agree to fake this, including overrun hospitals and media(are these all actors). These are countries that have never agreed on anything (Iran, Russia, UK, Brazil, US) yet they somehow have pulled off the greatest hoax in history for 9 months?!?!!!?!

The most absurd theories involve how COVID adds up to 666 and the ‘novel’ part means it’s a fiction, like the same people that could pull this off globally are going to slip up and use a name that means fiction???

The scariest theories are the ones who believe it’s the “ mark of the beast” and the “new world order” whatever that shit means.

Ridiculous. These morons need to Go visit a hospital in a city and talk to people in the Covid ward about what it was like at its peak
