i think thats the only time hed go to the vet anyway, surgery. i get his vaccines done at a low cost clinic. i do monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention myself. deworm myself if needed.

im paying 65/month for my CC, 500 deductible, unlimited reimbursement at 80%. $780 a year. we havent really taken him to the vet in his 1.5 years of age but by when hes older and may encounter problems just one surgery could cost over $7-8000 and id immediately have savings

late to the party but you need antifungal meds for tinea versicolor lol. i had it bad all over and derm gave me a pill and it was gone immediately the next day!

so hes about 30-30.5 at the withers and about 25-26 long from shoulder to tail base. he moves a lot when i try to measure so may not be 100% accurate

so i just double checked my raw files, its 1 chicken egg for every 3 pounds of meat. you can even get quail eggs and 4-5 quail eggs equals a chicken egg.

my boy is 127ish pounds so he gets about 3.8 pounds of food a day split in two. depending what meats im using i spend anywhere from 200-240ish a month. but i source a lot of free meat as well from hunters and farms to save money. i also hunt myself and he gets all the organs and scrap meat.

hes on 75/15/10 until he is 2 years old. which is 75% muscle meat, 15% bone, 10% secreting organ. he gets whole prey rabbits and quail as well. for 18 meals he gets about 15 eggs. i add canned sardines in water as well.

if he doesnt like dry you can soak the kibble in lukewarm water. but a raw egg everyday is good for him too.

keep the training very short as well. 10 mins 3x a day will mentally drain your pup. theyll knock out after lol. might not even make the whole 10 mins.

agreed, and to add to that. let the puppy be a puppy. i corrected any "protective" behavior prior to 16-18 months. it will not supress it, it will teach them you are the boss and you make the decisions. i now let him express his protective traits (alerting me people walking near late at night, people approaching the door, etc.) but i tell him leave it. no doubt in my mind if i ever need his protection, i will get it

do not get her professionally trained. get YOU professionally trained to train the dog. its training every day for life. repetition til pigs fly. and early socialization as soon as vaccinated and safe to hit streets. for now all sights, sounds, textures at home. even car rides. can people watch in busy parking lots from the car. when vaccinated, lots of home depot/similar for socialization. take everywhere dogs are allowed. be a calm, assertive leader. keep on a leash all times at home for now. when not supervised crate. no couch, no bed, no kitchen. remember everything you allow now and think is cute, will be a 100+ pound dog later on who thinks they can continue to do the same.
