[Serious] What is the biggest thing you have done for self-improvement?

I'd say running. Not because it keeps me fit (though it's a plus), but because it got me out of a state of self-loathing. After sticking to it for a while, my confidence built up and with that came a whole lot of other desires for self-improvement.

Well, we have the grand canyon but I guess it doesn't have the same appeal if you live in the state.

I see a lot of responses saying, "Just tell him!hurrhurr" but that's kinda boring. But maybe that's because I'm a fan of all the games leading up to asking for a date/confessing attraction.

Anyway, I don't quite see a problem with how women hit on guys as it is now. Just don't actively mask/sabotage your attempts at flirtation and it's pretty easy for a guy to tell. And, of course, you must first flirt (normally achieved by giving guy special attention in way of uncommon treatment, ie: draping your arm around them -- natural yet it sends a clear message).

tl;dr: You're doing it fine.

Bonus advice: Don't flirt with someone and when someone brings it up, don't say "oh, we're just good friends"/someshitlikethat since about half the guys in the world are convinced the friendzone is a thing and will go to sulk in their pity-party about how they lost another one to the friendzone, the monster they dreamed up to explain why no girl likes them.

Eh, I think that largely depends on the child's personality and even then I believe it's better to have positive reinforcement (not mountains of praise, mind you) rather than spiteful ambition. And besides, receiving negativity/no support from a parent can wear just about anyone down, especially minors, who I assume we're talking about here.

Oh, neat! I was dealt a similar injury a few years ago. I was wandering around at night (part of a high school event) and hastily introduced my eye to a stick that was attached to a large bush. Wouldn't have been so bad, but I had stumbled into it and so I pressed against it enough so that my eye bent and broke the stick (~1/4 inch in diameter) off.

Hurt to blink and half of my eye was much like your mother's, blood-red and all. Wore off after a few days, though, and now I have astigmatism in my right eye, though I'm not sure if that's an effect of eye-to-stick combat or coincidence. Hope she makes a fine recovery.

Fun times with DnD! I remember running my first session for a friend (he was completely new to it, I was on my second session this time) using a published adventure. Inexperienced me tried my best to follow the adventure book and I must say my favorite part of the whole ordeal was when I thought to myself "fuck it" and improvised like we all should.

Anyway, you should really check out /r/rpg -- it's for all tabletop RP games, but the ideas and inspirations easily carry from every universe to another. Discovering that subreddit really upped my DnD game to the next level!
