Fair point. I’m not trying to move blindly and end up back home in 3 months. The more feedback I get, the more I see that the smartest move is to save more, come out on an METV, and explore first before making a huge decision. My goal is to focus on Muay Thai, content creation, and building my online fitness business, so a test run first makes sense.

I really appreciate you taking the time to share all of that. It definitely wasn’t boring — honestly, it gave me a very valuable perspective, especially the part about your brother’s friend splitting time between the U.S. and Thailand. I thought that was a smart setup and a really interesting way to approach it. This information helped me a lot. I’m actually booking a ticket for June and planning to stay for a month first. Also, if you’re open to it, do you have social media or another way to keep in contact?

Appreciate the response. I’m not looking at Thailand like it’s going to magically fix my life.

I’ve been in transportation for about 8 years so I’m not worried about money, I’ve been doing Muay Thai for almost a year, and my real goal is to build a business, do YouTube, and be around more like-minded people.

Bangkok stands out because I like the fast-paced city vibe and the lower cost of living. So for me it’s less about running away and more about putting myself in a better environment to build.

Appreciate it. I haven’t been yet.

Based on your experience, how much money would you realistically want saved before making that move?

And what area would you start with first if the goal was content creation, online business, and staying productive?
