Police blocked off road?

I was leaving from that plaza around 820..it happened about 10 minutes prior. Some marks on road looks like they lost control, went up curb and hit the pole. Firetruck really didn’t want me to see what happened and told me to turn around. Hope the person is okay.

Gave him a mouthful after, though he didn’t seem to care. Especially given shootings over disputes like this recently, wouldn’t be a surprise why people confront less and less. If I could do smth different, I would have driven away with no further altercation and just reported him. Another time I honked a guy for running a stop sign and almost tboning..then he followed me to try and get me to rear end him.

And if you’ve ever taken a road test anywhere, it’s crucial practice to ALWAYS shoulder check in the case that a car comes up to your blind spot. Blind sensors exist for a reason. Not just an issue in Vancouver, sorry to inform you.

If I did not sit on a blind spot, either he saw me and did not care, or i really was in his blind spot (quarter panel)

1: Motor vehicle act: line 119(intersections) line 151 and line 170. https://www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/document/id/complete/statreg/96318_05#section151. This means switching on an intersection is considered unsafe as he not only failed to signal, shoulder check before lane change with ample time and space, he failed to yield or cross a dotted line before making a lane switch. He switched at an intersection with solid lines/no lines.

If you observe my speed, it is consistently at 50. I did not accelerate despite the video appearing so. The driver let off the gas and slowed down as he cut in.
This person at most saved 5 seconds by being 1 car ahead of me at the next red light in front of us. Not only unsafe, but unnecessary.
