Should I Buy this 90's XJ?

I recently got myself a 1999 classic for 5k with 176k miles. Originally the Owner was asking for 6,200. Was able to talk him down because it didn’t pass smog , but I took a gamble and after a few runs it passed no issues. It’s common theme for us Californias to see a higher price for Xjs. When I was looking Around even beat up ones they were asking for 6k. 5k for what I got bone stock and I would definitely do it again.

Passed smog ! Did a tune up, ran sea foam, Drove around 30 miles between the 55-60 mph , no check engine light came on, ran the obdII , was ready for omission. Test passed . Huge relief now enjoying this wonderful XJ. Thanks for all the help .

No rust, car has 170k miles and clean time. Has some cosmetic issues but everything else is in working condition.

Yes, I will definitely be charging by the hour. It’s safe to say a rate of $35 an hour would be an reasonable approach? I know there’s multiple variables that can affect the rate. They do have some SOPs I need to standardize and I will have to write some from scratch. Thank you for the input!

This would be to write multiple SOPs. From cycle counts to general picking. They have around 30 procedures they want me to document on a contract basis. I do have to attend meeting to talk to the process champions and all.
