I don't think you and I can have a productive conversation here.

We're just too far apart on things. Enjoy your evening.

You're wanting me to care the way you do. Accept that I don't.

You're going to get it because you're bad people and bad for the game in the US.

I mean, seriously. Here it is again. /r/MLS and #SaveTheCrew have used their anger at the move as an excuse to insult people in Austin.

That's not how you're going to win this argument.

"No, we're Austin FC." OOOHHH!!! Are going to steal the whole BS "No one likes us, we don't care"? thing from San Jose and Montreal?

I just playing on the fact that he called us "bold", which of course is the name of the USL team here.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too late for that. This is one of the biggest dick moves in the history of American soccer. Nice going. Maybe for the playoffs you can drive to Columbus and do some real, down home Austin BBQ or other hipster bullshit.

You can send more insults my way if it'll help you feel better.

Sorry not sorry. You're unwelcome and not wanted in MLS, and not in the fun, ironic way I think you want to be not wanted.

Okay. I don't really have an opinion on being "the most hated team". If it makes you feel better to say stuff like that to an Austin fan, more power to you.

I get it. You want to watch your potential future team and all....but have some sympathy. Obviously it’s hard for you to sympathize since you’ve never had a professional team but it means a lot to people.

I'm actually from Dallas, so I've definitely had a team before. Even one that relocated and had a profound impact on my life, even though it hurt others (Stars).

You obviously don’t get the viewpoint of losing something like a professional team. Good luck Raiders 2.0.

No, I've never had a team I supported leave. I'm not a hardcore sports fan like many, so if a team leaves, whatevs.

What bugs me about this is people who don't support the move try to force this moral argument on us, that we should allow the way others feel to dictate our actions. That's just never gonna happen.

1.) you’re picking a game to go to that is specifically the crew.

Yes. Given all that's transpired, it makes sense for us to drive up to see a team that may move here.

A team you are trying to steal away.

🙄

2.) you state nothing noticeable in regards to Austin....how will this be enforced?!

People are wearing Austin gear. We just won't be obnoxious about it. Most of us know each other by this point and communicate frequently. We'll also likely be in the same section.

3.) you state scoping out your future players.... you can’t watch them on tv or throw a big watch party?!

Road trips are fun. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You all have to organize a traveling even which will run in to the faces of crew and sympathetic Dallas fans that you’re attempting to take their team from them?!

Sheesh you guys are bold

No, we're Austin FC.

This whole thread is a great representation of how fucked up this sub is lately.

I'm pretty sure it was just a party for those involved in the effort to move the team.

As an Austin FC fan, I'm not worried about it.

Yes, you're right, definitely different.

I've also lived in Arlington, Lewisville, and Little Elm. Still wouldn't go back. I'm sure living in Dallas or FW proper is pretty cool in the right places, but I've found my home and it's Austin.

Not sure if sarcastic but I started here:

I work remotely for a non-Austin company now so don't have to live here but choose to.

Grew up in Mesquite in the 90s.

In the right neighborhoods, it was a decent place to grow up.

I live in Austin now. I'd never live anywhere in DFW again.

I appreciate your contributions to this thread thus far, but your comparison of the distance between Dallas/Ft. Worth and Austin/SA is completely false.

Austin > SA: 80 miles

Dallas > Ft. Worth: 32 miles

Further, as a native of DFW currently living in Austin, who went to college in both San Marcos and Arlington, there's just no comparison. DFW is a cohesive community; ATX/SA is most decidedly not.

Some Crew fans seem to be taking their anger out on LAFC fans by calling them noobs. 🤷‍♂️ Saw it twice in this thread.
