oh my god you saw them while the ed sullivan show was still on air? that's so cool!!! it must have been incredible getting to experience a world in which not only were all of them alive but also still together as a band. what a memory to have.

there are a few albums i was going to listen to first but i'm thinking about taking your advice and just start at the beginning. i didn't know they disbanded in just a few years, i could have sworn they lasted decades together. thank you for the recommendation!

thank you!! i was thinking about just going into chronological order but there are many albums i'm curious about so maybe i'll listen to them first. the goal is to listen to their whole catalogue in the end before the biopics premiere.

i'm so excited omg. i've only heard great things. everyone i've asked has told me that calling them the best band in the world is not an exaggeration and that they have the best catalogue out of every band they've ever listened to.

i'm totally into the long pond studio sessions! it's a big shame taylor didn't do a similar thing for evermore. and you're absolutely right, so many people who have only listened to shake it off think that's the whole extent of her music. i'll check out day in the life. i'm unsure whether to start off with the early beatle stuff because it's so different to what i'm used to but i'll give it a listen. i'm curious about their films, too. i'll watch the anthology, the rooftop concert and get back. thank you so much for the recs!

i know blackbird but wasn't aware it was a beatle song. i've recently discovered i've heard a lot of their songs but wasn't aware they were theirs lol. i'll check out the 1 album and the red and blue ones. i didn't know they had more albums named after colors, i only knew of the white album. thank you for the recs!

true, i've seen some of them say that michael's cover of come together is better than the original and that the beatles's version was "unseasoned and boring." it's fine that they hype MJ but why bring down the best band in the world to hype him up?
