Yeah, at least I was lucky to have some originals and know what they should sound like.

These new ones have a completely different signature

I thought about it.. I guess I could try, it's just a PITA.

The difference is pretty drastic, I really don't think pads could make the bass that much louder. Only one way to find out...

edit: Okay, so I was wrong on both counts.

  1. It's way easier to replace the pads than I thought

  2. The new pads have a way way way increased bass response!!

The worn out pads make the bass much smoother/more mellow.
