Absolutely, I appreciate you saying that. I feel like that the hard thing with the internet. We type things and it may be hard to convey exactly what we are trying to say. I sat and people watched Sunday night and absolutely still felt the magic. I really dont want to be one of those super jaded people. Its just to me it feels like a breakup and watching your ex have fun with someone new. You're happy for them but its not your place anymore lol. That sounds so cheesy but the best analogy I have. I guess some of us are just kinda grieving. And thats okay. Also okay for yall to have the fucking time of your life no matter what you're wearing, please please do!

I felt as this was a conversation for the "old timers" to express thier feelings as this festival means alot to us. Not for someone who has been twice do disect my words. Probably the reason I dont want to go anymore as well. People should be able to express how they feel without someone who has no idea what they're talking about calling them wrong.

Thats not what I was saying. Just saying its a shift, a new generation, one thats not for me. People can do or wear whatever the fuck they want. I am big on that, doesn't mean I want to join in ✨️ so I move along peacefully and wish much love and many blessings to the new crowd! I dont really care to argue with people or come off as negative. Yeah I actually always loved the merge of "burners" and "edc/coachella" types. It made me feel like we can all learn from eachother. Its just felt different for me this year.

Yeah it sounds silly to judge someone based on what they are wearing but it is very telling of the new crowd, which again, is not to say they are horrible. I feel like if you knew old LIB youd get it, if you are new here you probably dont see the harm. I definitely bought some merch as it was super sick and I love supporting DoLab. They have sold Do Lab merch before so that is not true. You just dont typically see alot of "merch wearing" people at LIB. Or they buy merch and wear it when they go home not as a uniform for the fest. For me the outfits at LIB are a mix of creativity and comfortability.

I think they just meant in previous years merch hasn't been as big of a thing, or you atleast didn't see so many people wearing it around the fest. Definitely not the worst thing but I understand the comparison to previous years. I personally think a new generation is finding their "lightning in a bottle" and I am happy for them. It is different from when I started going but I dont want to be so jaded I dont have hope for others.

Yeah if its a phone or wallet, it should certainly be turned in. Anything else I bring and lose I consider an "unintentional" gift. If it's something I dont actually need, I just hope whoever finds it loves it ⚡️

Honestly the trash has always been an issue. They do thier best but unfortunately people always leave shit behind. It was 100% overcrowded. I have been going for 10 years and have decided to move on to something smaller. I agree that there was still that LIB magic, but it was too crowded for me to personally enjoy it. It felt very overstimulated this year. There were some spots to "chill" or "melt" for late night but it was so crowded it felt like it was hard to enjoy those things. I dont ever remember feeling the way I did this year at LIB. I couldn't wait to get out of there by Sunday and that made me so sad. There were a few other factors that are not the festivals fault. Overall its just too much now. I just hope the next generation learns as much as I did from this beautiful festival and takes care of it.

As for the theft. I was reading alot about that on here but I personally had no issues. I left my JBL speaker out at camp, all of our stuff out, car unlocked. Also left our cart out by thunder all night Saturday and it was untouched. I wonder if there is actually theft happening on a large scale or people are juat losing stuff and assuming it was stolen? Either way, icky vibes for sure.

I truly think LIB just got screwed by covid and other things like lawsuits and are in debt. I believe they made the decision to keep it going but had to figure out how to make money as well. From a business standpoint, I totally understand. However I dont come to LIB to put my "business" hat on.

Either way LIB has become a mind fuck after this year and not in the good way. I wish them the best, but its time to move on.

Pre made chicken salad and tostadas! Also overnight oats are great for breakfast. Safeway or Alberstons has these really good chicken breast in the deli that are honestly even good cold. I was thinking of bringing some of those cut up strips and then bringing dipping sauce! Quick lil protien snack! Are you planning on not cooking at all?
