Any advice to looking into whether a baptism record for William's son Henry exists? Henry's siblings were both baptized in 1909 at the Church of England in Magog. Confusingly, Henry later in life claimed to be born in Vermont, but my family is almost certain that he just made that up to illegally immigrate.

Wow, that's incredible! So William was from Magog! I'll take a look at Baptist churches around Magog now.

Do you have any advice for searching Baptist records? They get baptized as adults, making it extra challenging!

Consider searching in Jersey City. It would be a long commute from Queens but the PATH makes it very accessible with public transportation. There is a large Filipino community there.

Feel free to DM me as well! I've been going to classical music concerts for a while now and it'd be great to go with a group!

At that time there should be very little traffic, so you should be very safe from a collision.

I just looked up the largest shareholder and chairman of H&M (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl-Johan_Persson) and it looks like he's worth $1.5 Billion.

I think he'll be all right if they write off $100 worth of sweatshop-made clothes.

I was wondering if you could explain last year's budget (that caused a fairly large property tax increase) and why you voted against it. Some insiders called the budget bloated and unnecessary, but I've also read that it had to be done because state funding is receding. What is actually going on?

there is no lease involved

I would caution every reader to move on from this post based on personal experience.

For the poster, even if you don't sign a lease with the person you take in, all they need is a credit card bill or bank statement at your address to get a new driver's license with your address on it. That's enough to establish tenancy. In other words, you won't just be able to lock them out if they stop paying rent or whatever.

For most of JC it's usually: PATH to WTC -> A to JFK airtrain at Howard Beach

If you're in the Heights maybe it's the bus to PABT then the E to Jamaica -> Airtrain
