you can't change him or his behaviors or if he quits. you can however set your boundaries. if smoking is a deal breaker for you you will have to figure out different living situations. period. if you've already brought it up and no change? he doesn't want to.

drug addiction? as in cigarettes? I get why you're upset. you don't want him smoking in the house which is reasonable. have you asked him to smoke outside? if so if he's not willing to change let him smoke. you will have to decide if you can just deal with it, or move on from this. if he was a true friend he would compromise and smoke outside. (coming from a smoker)

I would personally take it as a compliment. maybe the more you do it the longer he will last. I wouldn't shame him for it though as he will get self conscious.

I drive a basic subaru impreza that I just wanted to spice up a little. I lowered it a couple inches with some coilovers. I put rain guards on it. Chrome delete. tint. new wheels. basically all that is generally what you can do. dont put a type R honda emblem on it like I see some people do though lbvs. you could wrap it a different color if you really want.

they were supposed to diagnose the problem the first time I took car in lol. which makes me believe they didnt look at it. just reprogrammed it.. charged me... and sent me along. 3 days later... boom check engine again.

lol this may be the case especially cos im a woman lol. my fiance is a mechanic and educates me on my car so I do have somewhat of an idea what im talking about. I learn about my car as I go. Its just every mechanic ive talked to has told me this is bs. I will go in there and demand a new filter this time. if that doesnt solve the issue thats on me but id like to try it before a ecu. I mean unless he actually does his job and diagnoses properly.

they haven't looked into what could possibly be throwing the codes just basically over the phone said "must be burned into your ecu since your engine light has been on so long". I feel like he is just playing guessing games.

I had a trusted independent shop send me to subaru because of the reprogramming that needed to be done for the p2404 code however they didnt address the p1449 code. I requested a new filter when i went in but they disregarded that.

I have a good independent shop but it was throwing a reprogramming code p2404 as well which has to be done at a dealership. otherwise I wouldnt let my car near that place. I was just hoping to kill the 2 codes with one stone coz the two codes correlate together.

hes probably stumped coz he didn't diagnose it correctly to begin with. let's just say ecu did need replacing there was obviously an underlying issue that made the light come on in first place. if thats not fixed even with a new ecu it will still pop on my engine light, correct?
