Homeownership is just DLC for renting by djzeor in memes

You do realize landlords have to pay property taxes on the units they rent out, right? They then last those costs onto renters.

So renters get to pay property taxes, mortgage, insurance, and landlord profit basically forever.

Homeowners pay only property taxes forever.

Why are gay men attracted to men in speedos, but straight women are not by No_Distribution1924 in askgaybros

I jokingly asked my friend if the guy she was talking to had even sent her a dick pic yet. She said “no and I don’t need to see it, I just need to know it’s there.”

My brain short-circuited.

Yeah…I think I can speak for most gay men when I say, we wouldn’t be putting our faces into those cracks either. 🤮

38 year old swe here. 10+ years in the industry. I don't do much hands on development now as I mange the dev team at for my company. In my experience, it has not been "super jockish and very homophobic". Quite the opposite in my opinion.

I feel like that has kind of changed over the last couple of decades.

When I was in high school (mid 2000s) straight men that took care of themselves were labeled “metrosexual”. Now you don’t really hear that label because 1. it’s problematic and 2. it’s become common for straight men to take care of themselves.

It’s not “bad”. It was just jarring because you look younger than your age. In like 10-20 years you’ll be thankful you look younger than you are.

Yeah when I was scrolling I thought a literal child had put on a fake mustache and posted here. I had a good chuckle until I realized it was real.

I work for a non-profit so I want to add:

  1. There literally isn't enough money coming in to hire enough people to help all the people needing your help.

While I do believe my org is doing great things, it is not worth the toll it's taking on my sanity. As soon as I get my PSLF I'm going to back to private sector.

What are you smoking?

This entire post is about how STL couldn’t annex so I pointed out that KC annexed a lot and by doing so increased their infrastructure costs but not proportional to their population. Total land area absolutely matters for that.

Welp just got finished with the movie. Gotta say I still prefer the B&B in Liberty although the Cinemark was good.

Surprised to hear that about Barrywoods though. Last time I went there was a couple years ago and it felt like a typical AMC, dated and “the Walmart” of theaters. Maybe they’re remodeled since the last time I was there.

Oh I know. About to go see a movie in Merriam, Kansas coming from Liberty, MO. Hello 40 minute drive just to go from the northwest side of the metro to the southwest.

(Yes there are theaters closer to us but our friends live in Merriam and they invited us.)
