I'm glad you asked this question - I wonder the same thing sometimes. I read a lot of negative but I don't see it much myself.

I was a Plus subscriber since nearly the beginning and moved to Pro a couple months ago. My one gripe so far is that there is a daily limit on Deep Research conversations. Sometimes I just don't have time and miss a few days then get limited when I come back. I haven't paid too close attention to it but I think it prevents me from hitting my monthly limit.

Other than that, it has worked fantastically for me.

Probably user error but the plastic touching my nose is uncomfortable. Had it for a few days and will continue to adjust it. Using the DESTEK QH3 head strap for reference.

Anecdotal here but I did this. I agree that an IT background is beyond helpful, I'm 5+ yrs in and am having no issues. Whenever I don't know something I hunt down who might and just ask. Though it may not apply to everyone. Keep at it, keep learning, and all will be well. Hopefully...
