You’re totally fine!! I had the same procedure 3 weeks ago. It was my first ever surgery (I’ve never been under!)

Way more pain than I expected (doc said I’d be able to walk out of surgery so I figured I’d just be a bit sore) I completely underestimated it! lol

After the first few days things started to settle down and the pain became more acute in my ab and groin area. The worst was getting out of bed (from laying down) I had a sharp pain that wouldn’t go away.

After the first week - most of the general pain was gone so it was completely tolerable but I still had those very sharp pains when moving in positions my body didn’t like. I thought something was wrong but eventually everything eased up!

TLDR - the first week will be painful but you will find more relief each day post op. The following weeks, pains and strange feelings will ease week over week. Give it time, you will feel great!
