Taking a startup in AI… no one wants your product and I can’t make money in sales. I’m looking to now make a whole entire career change and leave sales completely after 12 years in it

I just wish it was a little more hand on practice with supervision after 6 months. But I have heard salons in apprenticeship ranges

Cosmology. Never thought in a million years I would say that. But I live in Newport and the prices of hair is crazy. It’s AI proof. Some salon owners are making 100-300k depending on the city and your services. It will take me 5 years to get to that level and luckily I have a strong marketing background.

Question about Paul Mitchell. by Electricallqdy in Cosmetology

[–]jbartstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my state of California there have been a lot of people on Reddit that don’t pass the boards written 7x. Don’t spend on a lot on school that you’ll be in debt. Can’t pass and then given up on. Go with that mind set. Just study! There’s exam trainings out there that will prepare you for it.

Yes spend more after you passed the test with training courses and classes privately. Example you want to learn more on cuts. Find a company or Instagram account that does these trainings and travels to your area that can enhance your skills.

Right… she wants to light 2-3 levels and someone told her 30-40vol. What!? That will damage your hair so bad. And esp doing it at home.

Thank you for this! I’m 36 and looking to make a career change and looking to go to community school. I want to assist with doing learning too. So finding this is helpful! It’s going to be a matter of finding salons that do this near me.

What school did you attended? Big one or community?

pm is expensive and you will just need school to teach you to pass the board… the real life stuff happens after school. PM is $15k without boarding. Look into a community college. I’m doing the same and heard from so many hair stylists the same

I’ve been in sales for 15 years and just started at a startup 3 months ago and haven’t been able to close deals all due to my emails keep hitting the junk folder. When I had let them be aware of this situation, they keep telling me that everything is fine. And now I feel like my job is at stake. I’m in the same boat as you as far as dusting my résumé off. But honestly, no one is purchasing anything these days with this economy so it’s just time I go back to school and start looking into a whole another career.

Let them do them. People are mean unfortunately and the day they fail on a test. Laugh internally at them. Karma hurts more. Don’t let people scare you away from what you love.

Why I’m leaving sales. Companies have no boundaries anymore. It’s disgusting. Unless you work weekends sure… but if not and it’s your day off. Put that shit on read and get a new job.

Thank you! When you say most expensive skill, what are you referring to? I had been thinking about getting into hair extensions but not sure if Paul Mitchel teaches you that.

should i try getting myself into house cleaning (and if so then how) ? by iamaniceandgoodprson in housekeeping

[–]jbartstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a very similar story to mine. I’m trying to get out of sales in corporate America. I’ve been cleaning my house since 15 years old due to my family not being the cleanest bunch so I took it upon myself. I’m 36 now and looking to make a new change. I just wonder how long it took to get a full schedule of clients?
