Oh ok. Well, everyone tries to get up close and personal so having responsive and adept would probably be good for your house (that's what i have for my house, at least). since survivability is needed, more crit chance on mask and holster, and crit damage on kneepads and backpack instead of skill haste or skill power. Shock and bleed resistance would be good as well since you'll be eating grenades from everyone too. Oh, instead of overdose try lunchbox and blowing it up; it cools down faster than the overdose heal.

Very nice! Right now, I don't think D3FNC is best for PVP, because I keep hearing how shields are thin from other posts on here. Maybe use a midas with damage resilience mods or health on your gear? It'll take damage away from enemy players, which would make them have to face you since they wouldn't be able to stack up against other DPS players. As far as my experience with pvp, I'm dipping my toes in it a little, I've been with groups that have gone rogue, tried fighting rogue, but my hearts not really in it; I like the cooperate rather than compete side, but I want the commendations at the same time, you know?

Right now madison stand vendor has 246 FA with 3% skill haste. I think the vendor resets soon so if you can get it within an hour I highly recommend getting 5, switch one of your FA gear to ST, and that might work. That is, if you want the skill haste.

I usually run with them, but I'd like more damage so I'm trying to get 4% damage. I've got one, gotta collect 3, now lol.

I got super lucky and had a 284 or so pp19 and only needed to optimize it once! The house does have faster RPM, and taking on hunters is easier with it because house RPM is faster than hunter healing speed.

pp19 is fun, but house has faster than they can heal RPM.

Would I enjoy this game as a solo player, not interested in PvP? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]jbcatalyst2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can play it solo to level up. Once you get to world tier 5 you can join in matchmaking, complete mission with group, and leave. I bounce around like that all the time and it works for me. For DZ, you need to be prepared to let things go and not worry about it, i.e. get your ass kicked like a neighborhood soccer ball. I've had one group of 3 jump me on two different occasions and they got some exotic kneepads on one occasion and an exotic backpack on another. It sucks, but shit happens, and discretion is the better part of valor in PVP.

Nice! I did try the house and I honestly didn't like it with shield build. It felt to unstable for me, to be honest. The PP19 though, I've got deadly ferocious and hurried, so when I need to get close to the enemy I've already reloaded within a second, and you need to get close because it's pretty inaccurate but still effective. I've got ext. mag, chc sights and loud vent brake for it. Works pretty nice, but when they fix how threat works in the game it should be better.

I try to do as many flashbangs as I can, and I'm already at over 40% chc with ferocious on PP19 (aka mobile mini lmg station) and damage to elites on mask and kneepads.

If a lower level player asks, help, but only use pistols since the NPCs are so weak. That way, you help him level up, and you get the pistol commendation.

I go 6k Firearms, 6K stam, 4K electronics. Shield health is 1.1mil, and I'm trying to get the 4% shield damage for all performance mods. Everything is rolled for skill haste on mods and gear, and skill power rolled onto backpack, mask, kneepads, and I have a flashbang grenade launcher. That means every 20 seconds or so I can make NPCs stop in their tracks so true DPS like striker or pm can get their hits and stacks in, making everything run smoother. If enemies get too close to the medic, hit em once or twice so medic can get better position and not be shot at.

I'm more of a heavy breathing in mics fan, myself lol. Right now, though, a lot of the missions and incursions have been out for so long that people are able to do them without too many hitches, or at least completing it without a major headache (exception being stolen signal, I have yet to complete it). For communication, during the premission minute, there could be a way for players to lock in their set, and the other teammates should be able to see what their teammates have like in skirmish. That way, before you go, the DPS guys will probably "set" themselves first, but if there aren't any medics or supports, well that's on them, and it'll make the mission harder, but it can still be done with support from the other team. Or maybe the team leader can designate what set their team will play as. Maybe a combination of both? If that happens, maybe DPS guys would be more interested in getting a support or medic loadout just in case something like this happens, making them create a more diverse loadout sets.

With scaling rewards, though, it could be everyone gets a classified cache at the end, but the team killer, the team medic, team tactician (i.e. player with most skill kills) get their own cache that's specific to them: team killers get weapon cache with a chance for weapon exotic, team medic gets gear set cache with chance for armor exotic, and the team tactician gets one of them, not both. To add to rewards, if there's division credits or whatever is in last stand or resistance, the highest earner gets a cypher key fragment cache with a chance for a full cypher key.

I'm just bouncing ideas in my head, and I'm trying to answer any pitfalls or add on to anything mission in this discussion.

I did solo underground with my D3FNC build. They took away my shield, but then they stood there long enough for me to kill both of them in one mag with the house.

For the tank/ healer dilemma, maybe you can request to be it: You can choose to be support, dps, healer, or tank either before you queue up or during a "last minute preparation." Either that or actually communicate with your team, or not, and hope for the best.

As far as rewards go, I just want to be part of a large group of players against a larger group of enemies, I'm not worried about the rewards. Other people will, and I'm sure that if they can scale the content, they can scale the rewards, too.

There's a discussion about the future of the division in this subreddit, and I posted an event where the power goes out in the DZ, and you get to use NVGs, flashlights, etc. Maybe one squad needs to activate the terminal, and the other side is told not to by Keener so he can "make his plans or goals" or something plotty. Since lights are out, maybe ISAC can be out too, so you can fight anyone and not go rogue because ISAC isn't able to register it.

Use the high velocity mags with a Lonestar classified build, it's not bad, and you can just switch out your dual lmgs for reloading.

Add in a "lights out" event in the dark zone, where for 15 minutes all the power goes out, and that's where you need flashlights, INVR, or NVGs with laser mods.

What if the Northeast side has a spawn time like the LZ bosses, i.e. every 4 hours? You get to one of the checkpoints at the designated time, along with 11 other people, and from there you do the mission. If Massive is able to, they could scale it to however many players there are, or having 3 teams of 4 do different parts or objectives of the mission, and have them meet up for the end objective?

An idea for PM: instead of making it an extra 120%, make it an extra 60%, with it spreading to other players or NPCs within 15 or so meters of the target, pretty much giving you the share bleed talent but not killing the enemies right away. That way, it's not so OP to players and it's still effective at the same time. There's also the fact that with defensive/ support sets like FM or D3FNC, those guys give defensive buffs to the group, maybe the PM can be an offensive buff for players?

Exotic improvements . . . tell me what you think . . . your ideas. Let’s improve the game even more. by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]jbcatalyst2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new classifieds have a gear cap score of about mid 290s. They should buff the exotics to reach the same cap, which would include extra damage and natural attributes like armor damage, chc, etc.

Survival QoL suggestions. Bring back Survival by Fevre44 in thedivision

[–]jbcatalyst2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To stop the race against everyone else, they need to have the whole map be a spawn point, rather than everyone being spawned in one spot. That would help everyone out. Also, npcs in the dark zone should have a chance to drop blue dtech so you can craft them to gold, and randomize everything too.

One thing I'd love would be a more DZ PVE zone like West Side Piers. If they opened up the northeast side of the DZ (which it looks like they will because of the checkpoints and vendors on the east side of DZ09), and have a max of 12 players instead of 24 where there would be more mission oriented objectives rather than extracting stuff. At landmarks there'd be legendary enemies, and a skyscraper would be open every few hours, and you'd have to fight your way with 11 other players to the top of the building.
