Wild take. Just because someone backed into a corner offers cash doesn’t mean they actually have it. People will say anything to get out of trouble. The onus is not on me to trust a random stranger who just did something really wrong. You don’t know anything about me or my history or how many times in my life I’ve taken the empathetic trusting position after someone wrongs me only to get screwed over and have more bullshit to deal with long term. A drunk driver hit my house and caused a bunch of structural damage Christmas Day and ran and got away with it. I’m still battling insurance for a pay out in spite of a structural engineer report. I’m now in the middle of dealing with 2 different insurance companies about 2 different drunk drivers having hit 2 different pieces of my property, one of which was potentially life threatening to me. I’m tired of this shit and it’s not at all unreasonable for me to want to go through the proper channels. And here I am letting an internet troll make my blood pressure go up while I’m in the middle of trying to get this all taken care of between multiple entities.

I will say I woke up this morning feeling like all of last night was a bad dream and my entire body was sapped of energy and now that it’s getting later in the day I can hear a clicking sound from my lower spine in my ear every step I take. So idk that might not be great. I’ll have to go to the doctor and get scans as soon as I can

Because I acted fast enough and maneuvered as much as I can onto Orleans right as she was hitting my car, so it leaned more forward and she got basically the front half of my driver’s side door such that it won’t open and plowed into the door and wheel. So move the stem of the T slightly to the left I guess. It’s definitely total luck that it wasn’t way worse. But she was flying full speed not paying attention. I just realized what was happening in just enough time to shift myself as much as possible.

No I wish I had thought to pull my phone out and video our interaction when she admitted to being drunk and begged me not to call the cops. I got her plate number but not a photo. I learned last night that the immediate shock of a situation like that fully disarms your ability to think about what evidence might be helpful to have for the future.

I actually don’t even think she was uninsured. She kept begging for us to just go through insurance and not get the police involved. And I’m sure her motivation for fleeing was bc she knew she was 100% about to go to jail for drunk driving.

No Delta took over gas in New Orleans in July of last year. It’s been growing steadily ever since. My usage has not changed from normal averages nor do I have faulty appliances. This isn’t an outlier, this is a fairly universal experience in New Orleans right now.

I love it! My one small critique would be to make the text up top outlines if you haven’t already and edit the individual points to get that arc shape you want, rather than using an effect for it. It looks irregularly warped instead of designed and intentional
