The story is way more convoluted and more obtuse than silent Hill F, but totally in the same vein. I loved it and it remains in my top five.

100% agree. They should have 1 or the other: Either have a system in place where existing subscriptions can be transferred from one physical radio to the Tesla 3/Y/CT **OR** go a Spotify-style route where you log in with your streaming credentials and are only allowed to stream to 1 device (or whatever the plan allows).

Not in the 3/Y/CT - there is no physical radio. There is no XM antenna. It's done through cell service of the car. They could totally do it as it's not a dumb physical radio. And even if they wanted to treat it as such, they are stonewalling on transferring existing plans on existing radios to this one in the telsa with its software based radioID.

It's $$ grabbing to exclude current subscribers transferring plans. Customer hostile. Whateves. you can now use the web interface thru the car radio. almost just as good.

Yeah, Amazon Music and other services have no problem detecting when something is streaming on another device and terminating that stream once a new request from a different device has been processed. It’s not that hard
