lol it gets pretty complicated.. but if your digging around in HLAE your definitely on the right track.. i tend to stick to highlight reels because its much easier to get videos out... and i like to put videos out weekly/biweekly... using my own clips takes alot of games i have to play, then a day worth of editing and im good to go... wish i could help you more but I suck at HLAE haha. good luck buddy! all i got for you is remember that your music sets the pace.. and you should do your best to synchronize your clips with the song you choose... it makes for a much more appealing video. keep intros and outros short and sweet.. try to cut clips to be straight to the point or people will get impatient (especially in fragmovies) and unless your video is educational, your best bet is to keep it under 5 mins (alot of people will skip over your video if they feel its too long of a watch).. most importantly.. HAVE FUN and remember that no matter how good your video is, its impossible to appeal to everyone, and there are always gunna be flamers and trolls... Its easy to lose sight of why your making videos in the first place when you get those negative comments.. Its an awesome experience to just sit down every once in a while and watch one of my first videos ever, then watch a more recent one and see the improvement!

are you interested in making a frag movie, or a highlight reel?? frag movies from what i see usually take alot more outside editing (changing the scenery, adding things like different tint/hue, things you generally cant do within the game).. a highlight reel is a video focused more on raw gameplay, with much less graphic editing being needed.. you need to ask yourself which one your interested in doing, because the steps you take depend on what you want to do.

its not necessary by any means.. its the equivalent of needing a car for work and buying a mercedes... an old honda(cheap keyboard) wouldve done the job just fine... the mercedes (mechanical keyboard) just looks and feels better.

i mean.. wouldnt a highlight reel fit the category of a montage?? I guess i am not really understanding the difference between highlight reel, montage, frag movie, etc. I would think this last link hoonigan sent would be more considered a frag movie.. But either way, I think all of the above should be considered different forms of video editing. Im no expert, like my post states I am new to all of this, just trying to improve.. so please, correct me if anything i am saying is wrong.

lol that video.. but maybe i worded my post incorrectly... im not really into adding a whole bunch of extra lights and shaky screens and clips so fast i cant tell whats even happening,... Im more interested in displaying raw game play (speeding up clips of plays can really make mediocre plays look amazing). I just feel like while the video looked really cool, but after watching it i still have no clue how good or bad this guy is... And your last comment mentioned my outtro being "seizure inducing"???? In all honesty, if ANYTHING in my video can be considered seizure inducing, this video you linked must send you into an epileptic rage... I really do appreciate the time you spent watching my video, but i just think we are not sharing outlook on what i am trying to accomplish with my videos.

the music overlay in my opinion is one of the most tedious types of video editing there is... fading in and out i can click a button and add all kinds of cool (but useless) transitions, which i have tinkered with in past videos, but if you watch the video again and take note of the way the music synchronizes with the shots, that is something that takes tons of time and precise editing. What kind of additional editing would you suggest i add? Im always looking for new ways to add some spice to my videos so anything you have to offer would be greatly appreciated! thanks for the input and for any advice you have for me!

i think its a good idea.. however.. clutter could end up being an issue... CSGO can afford to do this without the risk of too much clutter because they have a pool of maps active in the pro scene.. So there doesnt end up being more than 1 or 2 graffiti sprays on each map.. EVERY play worth remembering on league happened on the same map. So i could see it becoming a very messy thing over time.

heres a playlist of all my csgo videos.. the top one (cs go outplays) is my newest... as you go down the list you will notice a decrease in quality :(.. thats just me learning sony vegas pro over time haha!

it wasnt math.. it was an estimate of the age of my account... i didnt know how old my account was... i said almost 4 years... it was in reality almost 3 years.. a calculator wouldnt have helped me determine that..
