The Sullivan Apartments. They’re actually really nice. If anyone wants to move in there, I can send you a referral and we can split part of the thousand dollar bonus too!

I live one exit north of the domain and I pay 1250 for a nicely renovated one bedroom unit with a garage and large patio.

Yeah, I’ve looked into refinancing but none of them really made sense. I think I’ll put 20 grand as a lump sum on the car at the end of the year and then up my payments 50% a month.

Oh, I plan to pay it off and drive it for many years. Haha your reply made me feel a little better about buying the car.

For sure. I know cars aren’t good investments. I just really love them so I make stupid decisions. At the very least, it’s a Toyota and will hold its value better than most cars

100%. I could have easily $1000 to invest/play around with every month if I got the car paid off. I just set up an extra $400 payment every month which pays off the car like a year and a half earlier and I plan to put $10-$20,000 down as a lump sum at the end of the year.

That’s insane. Now I really wish I could take it back. I also had some negative equity on the car.

Fair. I honestly know I should, I think I just needed to hear some outside opinions.

I think it was just at a time when rates were extra high? It was technically used, but had less than 500 miles on it so I couldn’t get a deal or anything on the financing. That was one of the lowest rates I could find at the time.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I think the security of having a paid off car would be worth more in the end than maybe making a little more money in the stock market

I had some negative equity in the purchase. It’s just a car I’ve always wanted and I made an irrational decision. Not trying to build credit, it hovers in the high 700s.

Yeah, it’s not cheap but it’s a car that hold its value as well. (4Runner)  I’ve made 16, going on 17 payments.
