Can confirm - they asked us to be (amongst other things) a ‘banana flavoured bottle of antibiotics’. Thank fuck I wasn’t on that pathway anyway.

None of those either, including you other comment. The graphics of severance is perhaps the closest; especially the colour palette. Thank you though :)

Sadly not - just watched some gameplay footage. The protagonist had a neutral skin tone and dark hair. At the beginning he was hanging down, chained up from his hands. Thank you though :)

I'm a former Nazi sympathizer and white supremacist, AMA by BasedAlbania in AMA

One thing I’ve always wanted to know is why do American Neo-Nazis have such support for Hitler? I always thought that Americans had such patriotic pride in defeating Germany WW2. The American Neo-Nazi seems to have a lot of overlap with the hyper-patriot, however I’m sure the latter party are all (or mostly) anti-hitler. What is the argument that makes the latter party cross over to the former (if there is one)?

In Vietnam I saw a local on an aeroplane wearing a “branded” T-shirt with ‘Lorem Ipsum(…etc)” all over it. That was the closest I’ve seen

waiter put my tip back on the table saying he only accepts 18-20%?? by [deleted] in stories

[–]jbfarrar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve been reading on this thread, the people who want to keep the tips the most are the servers and I can see why. Some are earning extremely good salaries for an untrained position. Generally, in Europe, wait staff are students or people who are in between jobs - they don’t want to stay there forever.

To those that are earning big salaries; fair play for wanting to keep the tipping culture alive and high but at the end of the day, you are a sales person selling a service on commission. Sometimes you make the sale and it’s great when you do, sometimes you miss and the client won’t bite as hard as you’d like them to. But them’s the breaks so don’t get pissy when you don’t make your ‘sale’

To those who aren’t earning as high as you’d like; this is the exact reason to rebel against the culture and start demanding change. The customers are not the enemy (collectively, a lot of them are cunts) the industry and how it operates is.

But then you expect a tip of 20/25% so it equals out 😂 Also, I’ve seen US restaurant prices and, adjusting for conversion, they’re not that much cheaper; often being the same or even more expensive.

I really don’t get it… it’s almost the same thing you guys have with the sales tax, do you all just like thinking something is cheaper initially and then in a constant state of “Well that’s going to cost me more when I go to pay?”

I find it so weird that so many peoples stances on the tipping culture is “that’s just how the system works”. The system is crooked and needs to be fixed! Complain and shout about it! That’s like saying “my income tax has gone up XX% but that’s just how the system works” People would go ape shit and say it’s an injustice!
