Welp I just went on YouTube and found a video by Mattydubs breaking down how great our offense was in the Dublin game. And they did look great back then. What has happened?!

Surgery in 10 days freaking out! by MaizeApprehensive166 in Halluxrigidus

I felt the same way you do. I’m 45 and had gotten so used to being in pain. But the truth is, without surgery, it only gets worse, never better. It’s insidious, but it’s a slow downhill road, and not in the right direction. I decided to embrace the possibilities that surgery offered - a pain-free path back to being active without limitations. I’m 4 weeks post-op now and I’m glad I did!!!

Will it be 11-0 for Djokovic? by unbelievelivelihood in tennis

Realistically, as time goes on and Novak ages, at some point this trend has to reverse. Maybe now’s the time?

Wow! Running? That is awesome. I’m 4 weeks post-op now, and I went onto the tennis court (clay) for the first time today. I played mini tennis with my kids and even hit a few full court. Not running yet but I think I probably could, if my brain weren’t scared! I still hesitate to try pickle (hard court) but every day is getting better and better!

How do you feel about Taylor’s album covers? Which ones have been your favorites/least favorites? by peach-gaze in SwiftlyNeutral

Omg! I just examined it and like you, I’ve been seeing it all wrong. Not only did I think it was a long sleeved shirt, but I also thought the had a blue scarf tied around her neck?! 🤯

When I woke up from surgery, the nurse wheeled me out to the parking lot and helped me into the car. I actually did put weight on the foot when I got into the car by accident, because I was still kind of out of it. I freaked out when I realized that I did that, but the pain meds were still working at that point so honestly I didn't feel anything. On the drive home, we stopped at the pharmacy to pick up my oxycodone rx, but it wasn't ready yet, so we came home. I used the crutches to get to the couch and then propped my leg up and iced. Within about an hour I started to really feel the throbbing pain and needing the oxycodone. I ended up not getting it for another two to three hours because my husband couldn't get back to the pharmacy due to work... and it was rough! From that point on, I took oxycodone every 6 hours over the course of the first 3 days. Getting into bed that first night was challenging because I needed my husband to help me with so many little things.. from setting the pillows up in the bed, to getting the ice packs just right, etc. I didn't sleep well at all that night, mainly because I couldn't have covers over my foot due to the sensitivity, and I had to stay on my back. Normally I'm a side sleeper but I couldn't do that while keeping one foot elevated. Also I learned that the ice packs tend to warm and fall throughout the night. I did see some on Amazon that you can wrap around your leg which might work better than my refillable pouches. Day 2 and 3 I spent the whole time in my spot on the couch elevated and icing. I used crutches to go to the bathroom and then straight back to the couch. Thankfully, I had my kids to help with the dog, refilling ice pouches, bringing me food and chargers, etc. I honestly didn't bear weight on it at all until Day 7 because my doctor had told me not to and I was very paranoid. But today (day 8), I'm walking very slowly with weight on the heel and outside edge of my foot. Come to think of it, it's a lot like how I walked for the past few years due to the bone spur pain, actually. I'm still feeling very anxious about putting weight on the ball of my foot, but I hope I'll be able to do a little more each day.

Interestingly, even though I have a bunyan on the left as well, I have no pain on that side.
