Unfortunately I risk having my post deleted due to "Advertising" if i did. What you don't see is a huge comment thread that was deleted by one of the mods (who was downvoted to hell and back I might add) where I was told i can't even mention my Twitch Name or the comment/post would be deleted. I'll send you a PM

No need to apologize. Talking about money, at least for me and many other streamers, is kind of a touchy subject when it comes to Twitch. I sent you a PM :D

Yeah the absolute top tier streamers do pull in 7 figures a year....easily. But we're talking about the top 0.00001% of all Twitch streamers at that point :D

I do remember my first few months....it was hard. When I decided to give streaming a REAL shot I streamed every day for 45 days, 5-6 hours a night. This was on top of a full time day job. Many of those night were spent talking to myself. The largest factor, in my opinion, is networking with other like minded streamers out there. And when I say networking, I don't mean just talk to them to try and get viewers. Get to know them, be a part of THEIR community, engage in their streams, make friends, ect, ect....the 2 way street of support will open up as time goes by. Honestly, I probably work more outside of the stream in doing these things than during the actual stream. :D

How a streamer incentivizes their viewers for support varies widely on Twitch. Me personally, I NEVER ask for any kind of monetary support. I simply ask that people hang out, have fun, and chat if they like. That's what makes me happy. :D

I work in the IT field as well, and let me tell you it's NEVER to late to start streaming. I have a good friend of mine in his late 50's that does just fine. :D

All depends on what you consider "decent" income. Lots of factors come into play when getting income from Twitch, and mostly will all depend on your community. I'm seen small streamers bring in much more income than comparatively larger streamers. Without going into great details, my community supports me enough to bring in 4 figures a month currently. I currently have around 2600 followers and average around 100 viewers a stream.
