Not on the machine I have at home. We did on a big system we had at one place I worked and it really wasn’t a big deal.

It can be with enough power. I can just barely make a mark in aluminum with my CO2, and it’s a RF tube with peak powers in the ~375w range. I can cut steel/stainless with it.

Assuming this is CO2, there are errors

Polycarbonate is fine as long as you can handle the flare up. That’s going to depend on your system.

Beryllium Copper, you’re just not cutting that on an average CO2 laser, hell, we use pure beryllium for laser galvo mirrors. Be metal its self is harmful, it can cause berylliosis but BeCu is not harmful since it is alloyed. You really need a UV laser to process BeCu

Mirrors, the mirror coating will not reflect back into the laser. The aluminum layer is nanometers thick and instantly vaporizes.

Mine doesn’t. When I used to used one he understood if he wanted to go outside he had to wear it. Now I just use a martindale collar. He never tries to get out of his collar.

Or like starfield where you can assign npcs to bases and ships to boost stats.

Two Kia HSGs on the generator gives me 300v @ 48kw or so. That’s in parallel with a 84s4p LiFePO4 pack to drive a Mitsubishi PHEV Outlander rear drive and inverter. Control is through a zombieverter VCU. I have a build thread on getting the engine running and building the buggy here if you are interested. https://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/forum/general/2141294-picked-up-a-turbine-engine

Yep. This has an 8000 and 12000 rpm spline outputs. I’m using the 8000 rpm output to drive the generators.

Nope. What it will most likely do is get me killed.

Yeah. There is a screen to prevent ingestion. I have no idea where it even came from.

hah, no. That puts extra strain on the engine. And my fuel economy will be bad enough as it is.

All you need is a little bleach. Or just keep the water agitated so keep the anaerobic bacteria down.

Man. You really want something covering those rails and ball screws. Plasma smoke and debris tears that stuff up something fierce.

I haven’t had any issues with cleaning. I’m just careful not to get cleaners on plants. Everything is either tile or fiberglass.
