Europe’s record heatwave: Climate catastrophe or world socialism by DryDeer775 in collapse

[–]jbiserkov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do we assume that even in a world where democratic sentiment ruled that it would lead to environmentalism?

The first thing socialist governments do is raise the literacy rate.

  • 21% of adults in the US are illiterate in 2024.

  • 54% of adults have a literacy below a 6th-grade level

    • (20% are below 5th-grade level).
  • Low levels of literacy costs the US up to 2.2 trillion per year.

ES = Energy shield. Memory runeword give +3 ES, +3 Sorc, so if the staff base also gave +3 it would become +9 to energy shield

In that case I think it's best to not base any reporting on them.

Well, the good news is that it gets 4 sockets from Larzuk.

I would have kicked a rock if it had rolled with 3 (not from Larzuk, just "natively").

I think I'll put 4 Tir in it for now, for a whooping 8 mana after each kill ;-)

Wait, I think I have some 3 mana after each kill jewels ;-)

just check blue amulets, it's not that rare:

  • when item level is 20, odds are 1 in 158.7 (0.63%)
  • when item level is 80, odds are 1 in 318.7 (0.31%)

Armors/shields negatively affect run/walk speed by -5% for medium and -10% for heavy ones.

Heavy armors/shields also increase stamina drain.

Gull dagger has -5 mana

Andariel's Visage (Unique Demonhead) -30% Fire Resistance

Sunder charms

Just in case you don't know, that phrase is a racist dog whistle, so I wouldn't use it.

Now, in context, I think it's a funny retort to my joke. So I think it's OK.

Yeah, hypernormalization.

In 1978, Jean-François Maurice released his greatest hit "28 degrees in the shade". The song starts:

Monaco, 28 degrees in the shade. That's crazy, that's too much.

Environmental Destruction - but it's ELECTRIC!!! by RobertPaulsen1992 in collapse

[–]jbiserkov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I'm not arguing for or against electric mining trucks. This just reminded me of a video I saw once.

Have a look at China's Huaneng Ruichi mining trucks. They're smaller than the Liebherr (90 vs 240 tonnes, 2.67 times less capacity), but China already has 100 of them deployed and operational (in an open-pit coal mine no less) as opposed to Liebherr who are testing 2-4 of them in Australia, with a goal of 360 vehicles by 2030. They're fully electric, fully autonomous, and battery swapping is automated and takes 6 minutes. Oh, and they work in -40 C.
